hahaha, nice try, i guess that went right over your head. I was simply making a point of what is a limited edition WITH value and what is not. CRT is...your LRP is NOT!!!

OK, let's play M3 trivia and discuss who is and isn't an enthusiast?!?! I've owned 6 M3's dating back to a 98 e36 model. You clearly know nothing about the car you purchased....

I guess by your argument the 2011 frozen grey Limited edition is the MOST "limited" of all of them. After all, there were only 30 of those made... At least those sold within minutes.

SO your looking at $12,600 in mods not including the competition package, the sticker price on a limerock the extra charge is $10,000 and that includes competition package. so technically it is about 4k cheaper with competition included than making your m3 look like a limerock
I hear what you're saying man. Modding a car after the fact is always an expensive thing. But a couple things. Those parts do not cost that. Those are retail msrp, which only a fool or someone whose time is too valuable to do a bit of research would pay. I have oem splitters being delivered to me tomorrow from a dealership in FL at $590 including air freight and no tax because I'm a CA resident. All those parts are much cheaper at the likes of Ticher BMW, McKenna, Steve Thomas BMW, and Reeves BMW in FL. Go check it out yourself at www.getbmwparts.com www.bmwpartspros.com. No one pays retail.

The real winner here is BMW. They don't put on the standard exhaust or standard spoiler and upcharge for paint that costs them the same dollars to acquire and spray. They instead retain the parts that would normally go on a regular M3 and can use for another unit. Instead they put on a couple CF pieces which costs them a lot less to make by now since I'm sure they've recovered their cost to design and produce them.

Premium priced cars have the highest margin for car manufacturers. Both at the dealer level and manufacturer level. BMW and other MFRs LOVE people who buy fully optioned cars and especially people like you who enjoy the limited production cars that cost even more. Source: my dad is the chief of a very large oem car manufacturing company that everyone in the world has heard of.

Wow so its better to just get it after the fact than ordering it already done with those options? I know getting it after pack is cheaper you can get used ones but I did not know you can get cheaper from bmw OEM after the purchase. Good to know thanks man..

Haven't you seen Jay Leno's garage that only has Limerock M3s? Geeez.
Thank you! Someone else educated on this fact. the truth 99% of people in general are arrogant and do not like to learn when they think they are right. People like me and you, talk based off fact not opinion.

For starters you thought the "ecu chip" was different on the limerock.

You were the one who stated that the limerock was limited to 200 units, so therefore it will command a premium. The frozen grey was only 30 units, exhaust or not. Hell, there was even a 40 unit run of a frozen silver, that car had cf interior and black wheels... I guess that's even more rare than your LRP too!

Bottom line, the onlyyyy premium you might collect when u sell is what a buyer is willing to pay for one. Your initial asking price of 78.9k was laughable and probably more than what most people bargained for when they purchased limerocks from a dealer!

You can keep arguing the point, fact remains everyone here seems to agree with me, but you keep ignoring that.

That's horrible advice. The point is don't expect to make money on the limerock. Selling private party will definitely get you more money than trading it to a dealer who will low ball you and turn around and sell it for at least $75k
