Exclamation 3M Clear Bra - NEED HELP DECIDING

I live in south florida and the only reputable guy down here (Pepi at Autoshield- does enzos and lambos, a really highly recommended guy) uses the 3M product not venture shield. Does anyone here have 3M and is it possible to cover the whole hood with one piece? what about the front fenders? I have been told no. If not does anyone have the partial covering and how does it look. I have a white coupe.

THanks!

They did my E93 M3 MR. Im really glad I did it.The hood was done from the front to about where the 2 hood intakes are and then another matching piece covers the rest (Full hood80/20 of the hood) I can hardly see it. They also did full front bumper(1 piece), Fenders(1 piece), mirrors, headlights, door edges, windshild pilars and the a little strip behind the rear wheels.Comes with so warranty but I dont remember excatly Overall its excellent. Just make sure the part in between the front grill get covered good.I've had it about over a month.

can you share pricing? DId you have to go to them to get it done? I have a white car and I'm worried about the line in the hood. do you think its better to just get the 80% piece done? Thanks for the input!

It was about $1950 with everything I got(see post #2)to me its kinda of pricey but most of the time when I get on the highway I go 100mph+ whenever safe and the chips build quikly. Took about 5 hours installed at their shop, the bumper was the thing that took the most time I think.I got is a full hood but one part is 80% of the hood and the rest of the hood was covered by a separate piece. I would do the full hood too if I was you.

awesome thank you. my only concern is that dirt or wax gets between the seam on the hood where the two pieces meet. Does it look pretty much seamless? I heard Pepi is the best down here.

My local 3M installer says a single piece that will fit the full hood is coming, but not available yet; he said maybe in the Fall. He recommended not using Venture Shield, although they have a width that would cover the hood. He said the Venture Shield lifetime warranty had lots of exceptions and the product was not as durable as the 3M material.

They'll give a cleaner conditioner and wax for the bra and can be used throughout the car. I do get the car washed at least every week. Just make sure its hand washed, dont take it through the car wash at a gas station or something like that.

I recommend 3M wholeheartedly. I saw the Ventureshield on a M5 (it had been applied for a few months already) and it did not look good at all. 3M is the way to go.

I think it was under 1900 - included mirrors, headlights full hood, rear bumper strip, full fenders and bumper.

if you do the partial hood (have that on my GTI) you will see the line and its worse on white. darker colors show less - but it doesnt bother me its better than chips.

venture vs 3m (both know owned by the same co) - I had both on my e46 m3 and the 3m had noticably more orange peel. and that was the old Venture film.
