thinking about getting this....but price seems very high consdering the KM's and year....what do you guys think??

Model: 2009 E92 Jerez Black
Options: Pretty much loaded....not sure of exact option but DCT, IPod/USB, Nav, 19's (i think...just from lookin at pics)
Mileage: 28800 KM's
Price: $73,500 CAD
Sticker: not sure

from looking on Kijiji and Autotrader, i woulda thought somewhere in the 60's would be a fair price....but maybe i'm wrong??

TOOOOOOOOOOO Expensive!!!!!!! Is it even CPO? I got my CPO including extrea winter tires and M3 rims (extra one for winter) for 57K from Calgary BMW. Does it have to be an 09 model?

WAY too expensive... high 50s to very low 60s max. That car is only 10k less than a new 2011 and it is 2 model years (soon to be 3) old. Much better deals out there.

its a private sale so dunno if its CPO or not...but either way he's crazy.

i would like to get an '09 cuz my 335 is an '09 and i love the new IDrive with the buttons around the spinny thing

thats exactly what i've been thinking....for 10G's i can get a new one

i'm in no hurry so i'm definitely gunna wait till i find one i really like for a much better price.

Ok, Call Calgary BMW at 403-253-0338 and ask to speak with Matt Mcglone. He is the Pre owned sales manager. Tell him Mo with the white M3 told you to call him. He will hook you up with a great deal. It will be CPO as well so you don't have to be worried about the warranty for a while. If Matt wasn't around, ask for Ian

one other question....do u guys drive ur M3's year round or do u have another car for when it snows? cuz if i get an M3 it'll be my only car and i'll need to drive it in winter so just wondering what your experiences have been in winter!

Year round... I had another M3 last winter and it was great. Very easy to drive and control IF you have winter tires. My only comment is avoid the Michelin Pilot Alpin PA3 tires... they suck in deeper snow and ice. Go with the Bridgestone Blizzak LM-60 and you will be in great shape for the winter. I only needed to take my wife's SUV twice last winter.

that's the beauty of this car with the proper setup it is a all purpose and all season fun car. it's meant to be driven!

thats what i figured...a good set of winters and i'd be fine....i have blizzak's for my 335 so will definitely get another set of them if i get an M3

yea i'm definitely gunna keep looking around. Your right there aren't a lotta options out there right now....especially '09+ but i'm in no hurry so i'm just gunna wait till the right car comes around cuz i know it'll be worth the wait!

keep in mind the OP is in alberta and cars in the used car market here is more expensive for the same car compared to eastern cars. even black book says something about up to 25% extra for western canada cars over eastern but not sure why though. some sales guy told me this too. not sure if it is true but I have heard this many times before....

yea i've noticed Alberta is the worst....even in Sask or BC you can get a better deal compared to Alberta.....then the deal gets even better if you go Eastern....that would be a good road trip opportunity tho hahaha!

You might have some issues in the deeper AB snow on winters. But if you've been fine on Blizzaks with your 335, no problems at all.

i'm going to look at a 2009 M3 today here in Calgary.....just looked at the original post and honestly i think its the same car just with 30K on it instead of 28,800. Price has come down to 70K (which is still ridiculous IMO) lol!

gunna go drive it and see if theres any room for negotiation with this guy!

While I won't divulge the price I paid for my 2011 special order, needless to say it wouldn't have been worth my time to consider a car that is two or three years old. If you're even considering a new one, drop me a PM and I'll put you in touch with my CA who is a phenomenal chap, and an auto enthusiast to boot.

Know this much; It does make sense to shop around, even in Calgary where both dealers are owned by the same company.

thanks for the responses guy. I know it seems like i'm wasting my time however i have reasons for going to see this car today.

buying a new M3 is not an option because of the budget i have been given which is why i'm leaning towards a 2009 in hopes that i can get one in good condition at the right price (which is obviously not the case here but as i said i have other reasons for going to see this car).

There is a space grey M3 on kijiji for 46K however i haven't gotten a response from the seller so i don't believe that is a legitimate ad as it sounds too good to be true.

we are still in the process of deciding if the M3 is the right car for me (as it will be my only car) but really can't find anything else i want (except maybe another e92 335)
