Hub extenders do not fit E9X chassis as they have a tapered inner hub.

The consensus is most 10mm spacers work fine for the M3 with OEM wheels. Other fitments vary.
Since spacers are sold as universal fitment, they may not work on all hub/wheel combinations. I think Turner just puts up the 10mm spacer warning to tell people this. An example is the F30 3 series has some variations in hub size as noted by Turner: Quote:

When I emailed Burger and ECS they both said their 10mm spacers would fit no problems.
I don't have the confidence to measure my hub lip, and definitely no desire to modify my existing hub lip, so will prob go with 12mm spacer for the front. I was against that as I didn't want to increase steering effort which is already heavy-ish, and didn't want to risk making tramlining worse. Do you think it's okay to rely on advice from Burger and order 10mm based on that? |

I would ask Apex what they think too. They specialize in wheels and only wheels. |
