Yeah, the decreased pedal spacing does the trick as long as you don't overdo it. It's pretty sweet now on my car.

FWIW, after a few different pedals in my Cayman including the modular Rennline set (too wide, not enough space b/w the pedals), I like using their aluminum pedal but pull the rubber knobs off the brake and cover it with skateboard tape, works great. I know brake with just the left side ball of the foot and cap easily roll over to blip the gas, it's perfection.

I do agree that the E92 pedals can use a bit of an extension. Lucid, do you have a picture of your extension installed?

I might shave another 1/8" off or so. Still playing with the spacing. I'll post pics soon.

Where do you guys get those nice aluminum pedals from?

I see your point about power assist though. Yes, that is where the term "heel & toe" comes from as I can see the need for using both the heel and the ball of your foot in that situation. And power assist does indeed allow you to accomplish the blip with just a roll without losing your hold on the brake pedal. It turns out SportPlus on the track is not an optimal setting for other reasons; it does take away from your ability to control the throttle input carefully coming out of turns, etc.

Just use the side of your foot. You got to rotate your foot while it's on the brake. BMW M3 is much easier to heel toe than than the Audi RS4 (you gotta pivot even more with the audi). I find BMW's pretty easy, I would say same as a Porsche. I still believe the Honda S2000 is the easiest

With apologies for bringing this thread back from the dead, I searched and it seemed the best one to bump:
Ordered a frosted anti slip no inserts upper left extension M3 pedal from www.ultimatepedals.com today. $93.00 plus shipping. I called and rep indicated it would be none-pocketed; I did not want any M3 emblems or what not. I plan to paint it with a couple coats of canyon black satin before install, I did the same on my E46 and liked it; very subtle.

Sooooo...got the pedal a few weeks ago and finally was in town long enough to install it.
I decided to leave it unfinished, on my E46 it wore off and I had this silver/black thing going on. So I skipped the paint this time. Must say, customer service and responsiveness of the staff at Ultimate Pedals was phenomenal. www.ultimatepedals.com I'm very pleased with the added left side pedal width on the top, it fits my shoes perfectly and now I can roll on the gas while braking at the same time. I used the same finish I had last time, frosted antislip with no inserts.

These are terrific pedals. Clutch and brake pedals have great grip. Understated, but very functional.
