Which smartphone would you choose?

That's one of the reasons why I'm not 100% sure about Samsung. If the GS4 was made out aluminum and glass it would have been game over.

Been using the Z and the iPhone 5. Use the Z like my handheld computer. Use my iPhone to take calls.

The Z is a good phone, specs are a bit out-dated but to be honest, s4pro is enough for a smartphone.

HTC one is a nice phone though, but just not too much of a fan on the HTC brand.

HTC used to be hit or miss a couple years ago, but ever since they started the HTC One series, their phones are amazing.

I have an HTC One S, and I'm very happy with it. I think the HTC One will destroy the S4 because its design and build quality is so much better.

Leaning toward the HTC One now (perhaps maybe the Xperia Z too). Honestly I liked the iphone for simplicity and ease of use. However, I feel that Apple is getting cocky and thus doesn't care to innovate all that much anymore. That's something I don't want to support. Innovations provide for healthy competition so unless Apple changes its tune, I'm going to have to jump ship.

Only thing i can think of is Project butter which makes OS more smooth, but shouldn't this have been updated since the beginning Android was made? They went through 8 different OS versions till they finally figured it out?

Come on man...there are a million different android phones with different screen sizes. Apples iPhone has looked the same since it came out and their OS is boring in comparison to android. That's why apple will lose this fight if they don't innovate again. The iPhone 5 flat out sucks andi like apple.

Consumers want choices and a black or white iPhone with yesterday's technology, a small screen, and a closed OS will lose the war. It's already happening. Want to buy some AAPL at $425? They will innovate again but it needs to happen soon. An iPhone 5s puts them further behind.

Samsung is releasing a note 3 with a 5.8 or 6.3 inch screen? Ridiculous? Maybe...but I want it.

You mention how the iPhone looks exactly the same, but it's still working for Apple. Every new phone released sells more than the previous model on launch day.

Even Samsung is copying Apple's model of a minor upgrade instead of a full blown new model. Look at the S4, its basically an S3s, exact same design.

And if you haven't heard Apple is coming out with different models, lower end model, current, and a larger screen.

You talk about how iOS is boring, but the majority of phone owners don't mod their phones. They like it because its User friendly and easy to navigate. If people want to tweak stuff, they can easily jailbreak the devices.

You didn't answer my question. Can you name some notable changes from Ice cream Sandwich to Jelly bean besides project butter which should've been implemented in Gingerbread?

I have the Note 2. It is hands down the best phone I have every owned. It is a beast. After handling it for a while though, you get used to the large screen and any smaller phone just feels like a kid's toy...

I've been considering all three of these phones as well, but have decided to hold off for now as I have the latest version of Jelly Bean running on my old original Galaxy S which has breathed new life into it. I do think one downside of the HTC One is the lack of a SD card slot.

I also find it amusing though that some people are saying they would not even consider these three phones, seeing that they are the current top of the line phones spec and feature wise. The HTC One even uses an aluminum unibody, so one can't complain about a cheap feel with that phone. Unless someone is so deeply entrenched in the Apple ecosystem, I don't see why they would not take a look at these phones.

Agreed. I mean I've been using iphones for years now. It's simple and easy to use. The problem now is that it doesn't offer anything new anymore. It used to the next best thing. Nowadays the competition has caught up to it (if not surpassed it). IMO people should keep an open mind and look around instead of just "apple this apple that" or "iphone /thread." It just makes me laugh.

No i'm not running dreamboard when comparing how things open and close using the same apps of course. Its a great conversation piece when your sitting around the table after work with your co-workers. they would put their iphone 5 down on the table and we would open the same things up... then mine looks like its loading faster than theirs and get all pissed off that they didn't really need to upgrade to the iphone 5 etc.

Here's a quick comparison vid of a 3gs vs 4... i guess you be the judge. This tweak really just takes the animation time away but that shit takes time to load.

Lol yeah that's just all I could find. The iPhone 5 with the same tweak would be just as fast. I dont have the time to go find you proof. But I didn't say I was comparing the tweaks on a 4 vs 5. I'm not trying to convince anybody otherwise and I'm no advocate of iPhones either... Just that I like this app and that I said you can make your iPhone look like other phones out there through Dreamboard themes for the OP.
