Those pics are the current W212 E63 that's already in production and being sold. And with the n/a 6.2 liter. We'll have to wait and see with the S Class.

p.s., the W212 has the historic "Ponton" rear fenders; no way to really flare them even when they do the facelift in a few years. The S will/should have the flared wells.

So much for search engines. It pulled up several shots of it under "2011 S63".

Oh well.

Good for MB. This will push BMW to do better with FI.

At 450lb, this engine weighs only 2kg more than the V8 in the M3. I know people are going to start on power/litre etc. but for an extra 2kg this engine packs a HUGE punch. Then there is the improvement on fuel efficiency. New AMGs with this unit should be really interesting.

This is probably a long shot, but I seriously hope they include the 5.5L V8 in the C63 and not a smaller displacement engine.

+1. MB should cut R&D cost for C AMG and just put this engine with a detune just like they did for 63!!!

Oh well.. Like I tell my dad. They're only humans. They make mistakes too.
How have they slipped? Each time they changed the engine, the car has produced more power.

Forced Induction puts more stress on engines; engines may not last as long as they would with without FI.

Power/Liter is pointless.

Respect for that, but as I said, Mercedes have produced an engine that weights the same as the M3 V8 yet produces MUCH more power/torque. So I don't care about hp/litre. The only thing the M3 will have is the 8k rev, but this new Merc engine has shit loads of torque to make up for it!

I guess the Rx8 is the best car out there?

13B Renesis motor makes 238hp with 1.3 liters NA.

It makes 183hp per liter.
