Does our warranty cover wear due to racing?

Just bought the M3 ~3months ago. Will be doing doing some road racing at an event next week. I'm new to the M but I'm assuming that more wear will be put on the brakes, etc... Does BMW warranty and provide the necessary service (brake pads, oil change, etc) as needed, whenever it's needed, even if that service comes up much sooner due to a race event?

Really depends on the dealer/service adviser. IMO

It is technically not covered, it is stated in the owners manual. However, depending on your SA and dealership, they may help you out as a courtesy.

Just don't tell them that you need new parts cause you were racing the car.

Whether you tell them or not, they will figure it out. Brakes and tires that have been raced on are very clear to spot.

Being honest about it is the best way to go.

True that. I've seen an 1M coupe with unusual wears on the outer part of the front tires. Even for someone like me who doesn't track at all would spot out something uncommon that has happened for daily drive, easily. Honesty is the best policy, and a little bit of relationship-building would help.

I doubt they are going to give extra maintenances due to tracking. Like others have said DIY or just find a good indepentant shop.
