If you would like a comparison quote feel free to shoot Checa an email (address below in my signature)

If you factor in holiday cash you should be getting the car under invoice easily. Does the dealer have the car on the lot right now? or would you have to order the car? If its on the lot thats a plus bc you wont have to wait for a ordered unit

If they are selling you the car at 1k over invoice - holiday cash and the car is on the lot it could be a ok deal. However you can get the car cheaper but may have to wait a while for an ordered unit.

I think 36month you get a tiny bit better rate. Make sure it's a $1000 over invoice BEFORE holiday/BMW credit...

Plus for 3yr/36 months @ 10k per, the residual is 62%. Base m.f. is .00125. I didn't check the math to see how it aligns. What are they charging you for doc and acq fees?

I assume by $0 down, you are rolling in the first, security and acq fee. True?

As listed, you would be paying around $2200 over invoice (factoring the two incentives).

I am looking to order a M3 coupe with PCD mid to late May. When should I start the process (quote, order placement, etc). My concern is available allocation. Perhaps not as this would be, I'm thinking, an order processed in February.

figure once you order it will take 6-8 weeks on average to get to the US. I would say the sooner you can get the ball rolling the better IMO. (cheesy answer but its true)

As far as allocations go thats always a guessing game. The allocations could all be swallowed up and accounted for months before the end of the road or there could be tons left. It all depends on the market and how customers react to the end of the e9xM. Once allocations are gone then you will be at the mercy of what you can find on the lots out there.

PCD is such an awesome way to go. I have attended a M school event out there earlier in the year and also have never heard one complaint from any of the members who have done PCD.

I forgot to mention that this is a customer order. Does that make a difference?

This would be $0 down, first month plus security and acq fee = $1320.

This is for a 39 month lease because it some sort of special BMW is giving. The 36month would be a bit more.

So I guess i missed the key part here which is the car is going to be customer build. This is not a car on the lot.

So just to clarify - you should try negotiate price about $1k over invoice price. How do you determine the invoice price with specs that i am looking for outlined above?

And How would dealership make money if they factored in the incentives off of the invoice + $1k price. If it was well below invoice, why would they bother selling me the car? And how would you bargain if car is not on the lot, how would i have any bargaining power in this situation?

Thanks.

Correct.

check out bmwconfig.com (use ie)

the incentives are from BMW North America, not dealership... so dealership still makes $1000, assuming that's how much you pay over invoice.

Bargain power? go to a different dealer.. look up dealership reviews on this forum that's located near you... I got 600 over invoice, plus incentives. I didn't have to come in to bargain... I just talked over email too. If you're willing to drive to jersey I'll PM you where I went.

FYI -- I'm pretty sure you only have 3 days to take advantage of the holiday credit. If you put in the order now, you'll lock in these rates (gotta pay a deposit). If rates are better anywhere in between the order and when you get your car, you get those rates instead. I'm sure dealers are pushing sales too before the year ends...

you can do better then 1k over invoice.

with the current incentive available through bmw you can get a m3 below invoice pretty easily.

As far as locking in the incentives such as holiday cash etc. unless BMW carries them over to next month you will need to lock in before the end of this month to take advantage of the current incentives

Thank you guys for your help. This helped alot. I went to BMWconfig.com and priced it out the car.

The invoice according to bmwconfig.com is $67,770, and the dealership im working with is getting me the car for $67,395. So it is indeed 375 under invoice.

Based off of that, do you still think it is a good deal?

( $67,770 + $650 ) - $2250 = $66170. that should be your deal.

invoice + whateveryouwanttogivethem - credits.

Just tell them a dealership can get you that price... and ask if they can match.. if they can't, on to the next one.

I've seen the "whateveryouwanttogivethem" be anywhere from $0-$1000 for a good deal.

+1

Also working out the math based on the suggested purchase amount of $66,170, if you lease for 3y/36 at 10k, the lease payment would be $714 (rounded). This does not include MA tax. I forget the number but assuming 6% the adjusted amount would be $756. This would be without cap reduction. Out of pocket would be first, security and acquisition for a total of $2,281.

Do not lease for 39 months. Provided that you lock-in by January 2nd, BMW has a residual of 62% and base rate of .00125 for the MY13 M3 coupe.

Which dealer are your working with? Is your preference to have AW w/ Fox Red?

Is the holiday credit lockable for 60 days from the "order" date even if delivery falls after Jan 2nd?

Working out a deal currently and that's the only open question.

thx!
