CF vinyl wrap on vert roof

Has anyone done this or is it just a stupid idea to begin with? If so, pics please.

sounds pretty horrible to me. if you wanted a CF roof, the e92 was the way to go. you have an e93, enjoy it for what it is.

+ 100 - Enjoy it for what it is, a DROP TOP, I am sure gonna enjoy mine when I pick her up tomorrow, I may not be Dropping any top much with the weather we are about to get. With the weather going to 60-62 Degrees over this weekend I just might have to try the top down with a hat and winter jacket. I told my wife thats always cold when its warm to bring hats, gloves, sweaters, foot warmers , boots, and her fur coat so she does not complain, lol.

Some of you are acting like the roof would no longer function if it was wrapped. Is that the case? Im thinking of doing my hood, roof, and trunk in black vinyl.

If you are doing it just for looks it might look, alright. However, adding CF color may just bring out the hinge buldges even more.

I think wrapping hoods and roofs in vinyl and faux CF looks a bit cheap but plenty of other people seem to dig it. I just don't understand the look that's trying to be achieved.

Doing a whole body wrap in a matte finish or something else unique, on the other hand, is pretty killer.

Just my opinion.

Thanks for the replies. If, and big if, I were to try this, I would stop at the hinge line and not go over or around it. It's too bad they didn't carry that strip all the way to the windshields but I'm sure they never intended anyone to do this.

Did you ever get this done? I really wanna see the pic if you've done it cause I'm thinking about vinyl wrapping my car in matte white and carbon fiber looks on hood, roof and trunk. I found this video recently and it look quite good.
