BBS CH-R Chrome Lip Ring Removal??

How do you remove these buggers??

Anyone with CH-Rs ever remove their chrome lip ring? Using a small screw driver feels like it's going to bend or break!

I'm thinking of painting or wrapping it with a little color.

Thanks in advance.

I took mine off, but had no intentions of putting them back on. The trim is actually pretty flimsy, so the trim bent as soon as I was able to pry it away from the wheel. I'm not sure that there is a way to take these off and save them. I know that you can purchase new ones from BBS, if that's an option for you.

Christian, as i mentioned, once you take the stainless bands off, they are hard to salvage and re install. We do offer them as replacement parts though.

we do custom painted rings for some customers. They have to be removed and the new painted ring put on.

I'm trying to remove mine right now, they won't really budge even after I heat it up. Do I have to apply a lot of force to remove it? Thanks.

Will these fit any 19" wheel or is there a channel of sorts in the rim in which the rings are seated?

The BBS wheels have a special channel on them, so you wouldnt be able to just apply them to any random wheel.
