Good choice with the cts-V...!

I like Lexus but IS-F is a new player in the 'sports sedan segment' and, they haven't got much right in their first time 'outing'. Sure, it has a brilliant 8 speed auto with a 5.0 V8 but, that's it. The interior and space provided are not remarkable and the body kit is over the top.

Now, with the CTS-V, you cant go wrong. A great looking car(Real life experience), improved interior along with alot of passenger space, improved handling, and the most significant one, 550 supercharged horses I stressed on 'supercharged' because now you can make the proper use of the phrase LET THE MODDING BEGAN. A supercharged engine has a alot of potential for producing more horsepower with just bolt on's. ECU tune, shorter pulleys, etc can produce alot of hp from this already potent V8.

Anyway, my advice before buying would be, wait for a couple of months to see how GM is going to handle the 'bailout' money .....if you know what I mean. Till then, you can enjoy your (Ahem) stock 335i.

SOrry for the long post....good luck with whatever you get

What swayed your opinion? Have you driven both cars? CTS-V is a BEAST for sure.

Wait, why aren't you getting an E90 M3 again? "You must be a cock," as Jeremy Clarkson would say.

My wife has a lex an it is a GS and let me tell you when you take that lex to the shop you will pay. she is looking at BMW now.lol....with a bmw you will not have to pay a dime. Even with a oil change. Yes the IF looks good to a point but I would get a M if that was my choice. Japanese cars reliability please. I have a GMC truck that has less problems then all the cars I own. I had two japanese cars, one was go to me and the other was crap. So get what you like but don't say it all about reliability. A bmw is a great car and not a look a like to some cheaper car with another badge. GL on what you get.

Basically the modding potential the cts-v has that shit will be a BEAST with ecu tune and pulley upgrades

You really don't need to mod the CTS-V. With 550 hp, you'll be spinning 1st gear, 2nd gear, and into 3rd gear. I expect any speed under 70 mph if you stomp it in the correct gear, you'll be going sideways. How fast do you intend on going? LOL I always thought 550-600 hp would be a reasonable limit for a street car personally.
