How often should I change the oil?

I do at least one DE a month so I'm assuming the manufacturers schedule is not often enough? Should I change it after every event or two? 3000 miles? Or wait till the car tells me?

I do an extra oil change in between the scheduled changes so about every 7500 miles.No issues so far,but I sure hope that after 42000 kms there would not be!

I'm plan on doing oil changes every 7.5k.

I go with The Drivers Edge (www.thedriversedge.net) about once a month. We to to TWS MSR Cresson, Harris Hill San Marcos, and in Mid August we will be at MSR Houston. I think there are still slots open. I've been quite happy with the organization and have been using them monthly for a couple of years.
