Hi guys , can anyone tell me when my plugs/micro filter and air filter needs to be change ...is it time period or mileage related as its not mention in the Bmw manual

my car is late 09(dec) model and i've only done 11K mile on the clock!
running-in service oil change by dealer and i had done a diy oil change earlier this year .

thanks in advance

The general understanding is every other oil change. BMW changes the oil at every 15K miles, except the first oil change which is done at 1200 miles. The spark plugs are typically part of the "30K Service" Your number sounds about right. A couple of thousand miles more or less is not going to make a difference.

My dealer said they wanted to change the plugs due to time interval. They have never been changed its an 08 with 8000 miles is this accurate? I figure they dont go bad and declined. Were they trying to screw me? Is it based only on mileage....

just read in the handbook that the plug change is not CBS related and should be changed @37k miles , now I won't reach that kind of mileage till 2016, so should one change it sooner than later ..that is the question .
