How much time?

So my early build 2008 M3 sat for a week indoors over Xmas and now the clock is 7 minutes slow. Naturally this has never happened before so the battery is probably shot. The only question is, for those of you who have experienced this, how much time do I have left? The dealer can't get me in until Monday which is 4-5 days away. Should I just buy a battery now from the dealer, install it myself, and have them code it next week of just roll the dice until then?

I had the same problem. Dealer said everything was okay, charged the battery and sent me on my way. I didn't have a problem until a month later when the clock started losing time and the battery light came on. You should be fine.

Garage List
I would try getting a charger first if you haven't done so and go from there.

Is there more to these cars than just changing the battery and driving on like any other car?
