Good question, I guess this has not been asked in a poll. The question of Leased, Financed or Purchased has been addressed in this poll here. Only how accurate it is would be questionable

here is the poll ---> Click to Open

I got mine used for around 40k, added a SC and exhaust, so it became over 50k car. I don't have kids, or wife, I'm 26 (going 27) years old, single, stationed in Germany... and I get language pay (that's what pays for the car and insurance).

There is also the fact that people are willing to spend very different percentages of their income on a car. I personally think it is ludicrous to spend more than you annual gross income on a car, yet it seems some M3 owners are doing just that.

These threads are pointless, besides those that make tons of cash sometimes won't want to post it on a public forum.

In high school these polls were more fitting. Nobody believed you if you said 200k annual in 10th grade.

Really? I don't think I could afford my car on that income. Maybe I'm the only one who actually thinks the income results are somewhat accurate based on what this car costs to buy and maintain. Then again I'm the crazy one who has this car while I live in manhattan.

Agreed. Being a military officer with a long time girlfriend and no children in the south, i find that it is not unreasonable to own this vehicle. I just came from an E46 M3 and my E92 should arrive here in about 2-3 weeks. Its been a long wait.

That's cause you live in Manhattan, NY! If you lived in Manhattan, KS on your income, you could probably afford an M3 + M5.

I hate to think of what your rent must be, if you live in a nice place.
