Wanted - Great Welder for OEM Exhaust Mod in Bay Area

I have been trying to find someone in the Bay Area that eventually can do this OEM Exhaust Mod but no luck as of yet.

Do you guys know anyone in the Bay that you would recommend and I can trust to do the cutting/welding of my E92 M3 exhaust/ muffler.

Any feedback on this would very, very much appreciated.

Thanks for all the great posts and have them keep on coming.

If I recall correctly, there is a shop on the Peninsula (Belmont, iirc) that did the mod early on. If I find the thread (video online, too), I will post it up.

This post may be better if placed in the Regional -California forum, too.

I had my OEM Mod (ACM method) done at Exhaust Works in Belmont. Todd did a great job, simply took longer than expected. You can go down the street and get your tips powder coated as well.

Thanks for sharing the info. Do you mind asking how much he charged? Also did you do the mid section modification or did you do the straight pipes in the muffler and bypass the mid section? If you did the mid section mod is it loud enough? I am worried that if i go with the straight through midsection bypass it may get too loud especially on a convertible. Any feedback helps. Again thanks for sharing!!!!

I’m stocked! Just picked up my car after getting the OEM exhaust mod (straight thru version) and it sounds awesome! I couldn’t be happier with this!

I currently up in Manteca for work and the team at NorCal Mufflers hooked it up! Only paid $200 (which I think is a good deal) and even had them spray the muffler.

Best mod I’ve done so far to the car.

I had my exhaust modded by Todd at Exhaust Works 2 years ago. Did a great job - really trusted that he knew what he was doing.
