IT CAME!!!

I bought a TopSpeed x-pipe off ebay and it came today. It is full race with no resonators or cats. :Will keep updated with reviews and sound clips when finished. It will be paired w/ a megan racing exhaust. Also does anyone have any tips for a DIY install?

Good luck with it. Fitment is terrible and takes some modification.

that thing may sound pretty harsh with no cats or resonators and the megan.

I have it with my Remus race had to put some resonators on it. Also looking to put another set. When first installed that thing was super loud resonators helped a bit I think. with a quad set up will sound perfect I tried to upload videos but for some reason I can't maybe I just dont no what I'm doing. I had it installed by a local shop and he had no issues with Install but not sure how a diy will go. I guess depends on skills and tools. Well good luck and hope it works out good.

This man speaks truth. Quad resonators will give you a way better sound.

I posted instructions at some point. I bought one over a year ago. It was too loud for me with stock exhaust. I could have tried just two resonators, but I drive my car and am not a kid anymore who uses his exhaust as a mating call, so I put four resonators in. I posted all the details with pictures. Thinking about a Megan rear, but have not gotten around to that yet. It is on the list.

You will need to pick up a set of external torx sockets too....

Actually, a flex head ratcheting 10 mm wrench is the best tool I found for holding the header to midpipe bolts while you undo the nuts. Female torx works also and I have them but do not use them for this job.

It was a bitch and a half to get the x-pipe off on ramps but I Succeeded.
Now here is my dalema. I bought the Topspeed pipe and its sitting in the box but I have a Fabspeed x section with twin resonators on it, on the original pipe. Should I get a machine shop to cut the Topspeed one up and weld it on to the Fabspeed x pipe or just buy 4 resonators and have them welded on to the new one?

comes down to:

Quad Resonated X pipe (no cats)
and
Stock cats fabspeed x section
or
fabspeed x section with testpipes?

Finished the install what a b*tch. Will not do that again on ramps. The sound is loud and very raspy. The car does feel faster, though might just be placebo. Definataely going to go the resonated route. From what I've gathered Vibrant or AERO resonators are the way to go. My question is which brand and what resonator is the most popular choice?
