New Member and Owner of 2011 M3 Dct Coupe

Hi Guys,
I am so happy to have joined this forum finally after lurking here for a while, reading all your posts and enjoyin all the latest and greatest M3 news and pics you all posted!!!
Basically i am big fan of Mclaren F1 Roadcar. Since i know that i would never be able to afford the 2 million dollar supercar, i thought i would settle with something that used to make the M powered V12 engines for Mclarens.

So i bought myself a 2006 E46 330ci Coupe 4 years back. Believe me i still have my E46 but always wanted an M3 to quench my thirst for last 2 years.
Finally i made the BOLD move today and ordered the 2011 M3 from my local BMW, that too from the same guy who sold me the E46 4 years back!!
Hope i chose the right Options listed below:

-Jerez Black
-Extended Novillo Fox Red
-DCT transmission
-19" wheels
-Alarm system
-Moonroof
-Carbon trim
-PDC
-Ipod & USB
-Cold weather Pkg
-Prem Pkg
-Tech. Pkg
-Premium Sound

500 over the invoice with 4.99 APR for 60 months from BMW finance!!
By the way also had an option to pick 2010 with same color combo and options listed above with additional Premium sound, Smartphone and Sat Radio options for 3.99 APR with 2500 rebate.
But then i thought i better wait for 8 weeks and get the 2011 with new LEDs rather than a 2010 with some FREE additional options that i dont need..

Now the next step would be to sell my E46 and go through the pain of waiting 6-8 weeks to pamper my new M baby..

Thanks
MM

Congratulations on your new ordered M! The wait is going to be brutal. See if you can find a pdf online (I'm sure someone has it here on this forum) of the owners manual that you can memorize to pass the time until your baby is delivered.

Sounds like a great car, and your negotiated purchase price sounds very good, too. Not sure about the going rate on car loans currently...

Have you seen the fox red extended interior in person? Just wanted to make sure you know what you're getting into...it's a lot of red, and not necessarily for everyone. That being said, if you have seen it in person and you love it, more power to you.

Congrats on the new ride! Always good to see another ///M in the area.
Which dealer did you go to? Sounds like a great deal!
Now the wait begins.

FYI fox red on the dash clashes with the cup holders and dash trim. Make sure you know exactly what extended looks like.

I think since you are getting black a sunroof makes more sense. I do think you should get the enhanced audio as it is pretty good and from what I hear MUCH better than the stock hi-fi audio. Unless of course you will be doing a crazy aftermarket system but then you would be adding a few hundred pounds to the car, which IMHO is not a good idea. Congrats on the car!

That's a great color combo and the options look like money. As far as the DCT, I just picked mine up today and went for a long drive in various types of driving situations and it really rocks. I can't believe how fast the shifts are in S mode and it is cool customer in D mode if you want to relax and drink your Starbucks. I think you made some good choices. Congrats but the wait is a killer.

Good decision. The enhanced sound option sounds much better than the standard audio. By no means is it great, but I'm not pulling about the interior to install an aftermarket system.

Why not order the new ZCP option if you are paying extra for a 2011?

I thought the other way:

Jerez Black = Win
Fox Red Ext. = Win Win !!
Moonroof = Win (personal Choice...even though lot of folks prefer carbon)
Black leather always looks classic but really tired of it as my E46 330ci that i was drving for last 4 yrs was Silver on Black!!

Congratulations MM!

I'm curious. Is the 4.99 the going rate for 2011 models? I'm still waiting to hear from my SA.
