value of new 18" OEM E92 M3 wheels?

I'm swapping my brand new 18" oem wheels and the dealer
possibly wants to buy them from me.
What is a fair price including the Michelin PS2 tires?

If they are new I assume they have the new silver finish as opposed to the original gunmental. A new set is probably worth $1200-1500 (including TPMS) depending on your market and whether sold locally or if shipping is needed. Gunmetal 18s go for a little more. Wheels only will go as low as $800.

new Michelin PS2 on tirerack are ~$1350, and that doesn't include TPMS...
The full set with new wheels and TPMS can not be less than that.

It's a question of supply and demand.

These are the base wheels. Like with the E46, it is unlikely that the M wheels will fit other non M 3s.

So, people who are looking for OEM 18s are looking for one of several reasons.

1. Lease return. They need a set of OEM wheels to return the car with.

2. Track wheels. They want a set of inexpensive wheels that they can beat on without guilt.

3. Winter wheels. They want the OEM look throughout the cold months without breaking the bank on 19 inch snow tires.

In all three cases, your target audience is not looking to spend a lot to acquire a set of these wheels. I've heard it said once, that, a car is worth more as parts than as a whole package.

If you are looking to part out your wheels and tires, then you can sell for more. The tires will attract people who are running OEM 18s already and need a replacement will pay more as long as it is cheaper than buying from the Tirerack or comparable retailers. The wheels will bring in market value as mentioned earlier. They may cost 5-600 per wheel from the dealer but let's face it, how many people will actually pay that much, especially on a forum like this?

At least the OEM style 220M 19 inch wheels are an upgrade for those with the OEM style 219M 18s. Those have a somewhat higher inherent value.

Just what I have learned from being on the forums the last 3 years or so.

if the dealer is offering to buy them you might get a good deal

I'll offer you $1200 picked up today if the tires are new like you say with no damage to the wheels.

That might make sense in some ways (all new tires + TPMS + wheels retail for close to $3k), but the market never values them like that. I bought almost new 19s for $1800, and those wheels are significantly more expensive. Just the way the market for these wheels works.

If you feel you can get more, go for it. You never know what somebody will pay. If you want some corroboration on the estimates have a look through some old sale threads in the classifieds and look at the asking prices.

That is the best thing to do, but some people need that cash to pay for their VMR rims or whatever rims they decide to get, so they sell.

I have seen 18s listed for over 2k but never sold. That's how much a ZCP set will sell for more-or-less
