buddy i've been through shit like that before, it hurts, it is hard... there is nothing you can do to feel better, over time it wont be as bad but you wont ever forget her if you were in love with her. In time you will find another person, wait until you're ready though. When you find someone else then you will feel less and less pain, in a few years you will be able to talk to her again with no awkward feelings or anything... maybe... but anyway just wait, time will make things better. I know it is hard, trust me! hehe

Generally this is true. But a close relative married one of my ex-girlfriends. It doesn't bother me at all. And as far as I can tell it doesn't bother either of them. But that is the only one where I have kept a relationship with an ex and her new man.

EDIT: There was another girl (Carla) that was my best friend for awhile, and although we had much closer than a mere "friend" relationship, it didn't bother me at all when she took a boyfriend (actually he was a returning boyfriend from the Navy). I doubt that it bothered her, but my friendship with her boyfriend was new and we never became much more than acquantances.

We're not difficult to figure out..look..if she's talking shit about you behind your back and making it obvious to you that she's talking to other guys..she's getting back at you...or she still has feelings for you..one of the two. But clearly in this case..she wants to make your life hell. I'd never do that to a guy..if you break up..that's it..you two are through..there's no reason to talk shit about your ex...move on. You're doing the right thing with separating yourself from her..but if it's bugging you this much..just talk to her...or beat her. lol
