I was thinking about a full roll cage but i still want to keep the car in somewhat of a nice condition. the VS motorsport seems to be the nicest roll cage out there and should do the job very well without tearing everything out of the car.

i have read the through the thread a few times sir...but it was throwing me off as some stated a-spec was producing the vs cage and then other members stated the a-spec was similar to the vs cage in other threads hinting that they may not be the exact same cage but very close... if this was confusion on my part i apologize... but then again you could have provided a little more info to help straighten me out instead of posting a sarcastic remark....thank you for your time

and also on a side note if you look at the eas site they still show as they are selling the vs cage but when i contacted them they stated that they are producing their version of the vs cage...so it sounded like everyone is producing their "version" of the vs cage that is the same cage a-spec is also building..

the company who produces it A-SPEC was the ones who made them for VS Motorsports. VS Motorsports never made them in house. It was all done by ASPEC who is making them now

from what i found from a-spec is that they originally produced the VS motorsport roll cage. Vs painted and sold them. So now VS went out of business and a-spec still makes them but to order them you have to call them, because i dont think they have they online. Im not sure about EAS, i did not own that they are making their own.

in drifting small events allow it because the cars usually aren't going fast enough to cause significant damage,,, but If you roll over doing 100mph on the fwy..your cage isn't going to hold in place...bolts break loose, sometimes the cage goes through the bottom of the car.etc...

ya i spoke with robert at eas and he stated that they are going to start taking deposits here soon...interested to see what the final product looks like and fitment.. i had a custom weld in done on my e46 and also my boss 302 that my wife now drives but im not sure if i can let someone weld into my new e92....car is just too nice lol but safety is my first priority and as stated in earlier post this vs/aspec cage sounds to be the best for bolt in....its the horror stories you here of that scare me about them punching through the belly pan...

also one thing i keep going back to is the gts bar that used to be availible for import i assume is very similar to this aspec/vs bar...so if bmw was putting it into their gts car i assume the probably of these punching through the belly pan is unlikely.... so with that said whats the major difference between this aspec/vs bar and the bmw gts bar???? both are bolt in

GTS bar does not bolt or weld in behind the front seats. A bracket is welded at the front edge of the back seat elevated section, and the cage is bolted to that.
