Akra Slip-on and Weight Distribution in an E92

For those that have the slip-on or evo and DCT, and track the car, do any of you notice a change in handling balance, given that there is a significant reduction of weight at the rear end of the car. Thanks.

I didn't notice any mentionable difference in weight balance or chassis movement with it installed. The Exhaust system being very low to the ground tends to have less effect on handling changes.

Carbon roofs or other panels higher up on the car generally will have great effects when large chunks of weight are shaved.

I wouldn't worry about that. I have the Evo and I didn't notice any difference.

Zero difference noticed in handling here. You'll probably notice more of a difference between full tank and 1/4 tank in this respect. If you don't already, then I wouldn't expect you'll be able to detect much with the exhaust change.

+1. When installing the Akra Evo, had the opportunity to lift the stock exhaust from one end. Heavy as hell. ~50# wt difference advertised between Evo and stock.

I've got the EVO and challenge race trunk. Didn't notice anything, and I can feel the difference between a full tank and a 1/4 tank.

Yes, I found that when my tank got to less than half to a quarter, the rear of the car becomes a little lighter and has more yaw when I have to brake whilst still in long bend that has no straights before the next corner. So if the slip-on doesn't make this any worse, I would be happy with losing 14kg of weight and gaining a bit of noise.
