Unbelievable how blinded by bias some of these comments are... D'Antoni is the problem. Can't we all just agree on that. Getting Anthony was a great move. What we are capable of doing after the trade remains to be seen. Anything people want to say right now is premature.
do you really think melo and billups bring THAT much to the table? really? i agree, d'antoni is most definitely the problem, but i'd rather make a coaching change with the original core over one with melo. i'm really surprised you don't have a problem with this trade. what exactly are you expecting to get out of it with d'antoni as head coach and what do you expect with someone else?

Talent attracts talent... no one wanted to play for the Knicks the last 10 years because we paid our enormous contracts to nobodies. We still have a strong bench to put up points. Look at Douglas the other night. Compare that to the Heat... Heat got exposed last night. They went up big and then got shat on in the 3rd qtr. Their bench scored what? 2 points?

Not scared of the Heat. Celtics just shot themselves in the foot. I will never understand their thought process. This wass the year for them. Getting rid of Perkins was just stupid. Giving him to OKC was dangerous.

Back to the Knicks. Everyone that looks at the trade sees all of these players traded and in return they think we only got Melo. As we saw in the game against the Bucks (Who suck) Billups was a great pick-up. All that aside, the players we gave up were thriving in a system where defense had 0 value. You are going to score more points and get more rebounds and assists when you are moving the ball down the court and trying to score as quick as possible. This is why I think Felton's numbers in NY were inflated, along with Gallo and well Mozgov has a long way to go. I like Chandler but it is the same thing.

Knicks will get another star player. They will be contenders. Will they win anything? Who knows... But they have taken an important step at making this team a future power house. If you think they were on their way to becoming a powerhouse with Gallo, Chandler, Mozgov, and Felton, you were mistaken, imho.

i never said anything about them becoming a powerhouse with that core, all i'm saying is that i don't think the payoff will be high in the coming years. i could be wrong, i could be right. i feel like the melo deal was a step backwards in terms of the knicks rebuilding process

I actually like that the Knicks picked up Melo. I'm down with trading 3-4 role players for a legit superstar anyday. They might not be a contender this year but I'm sure they will be in the next couple of years.

I'm sorry even with melo the Knicks are just a playoff team. Thank that to d'antoni , they will be just like the suns team he had last year and the years before. They'll Win 50-55 games in regular season with early exits in the playoffs. Not to mention d'antonis suns had a way better bench than what the Knicks have now.

Lmao second time the Knicks lose to the cavs. And like you said the cavs where pretty short handed tonight.

And for anyone one saying lebron carries the heat , only watches highlighs. Wade dropped 41 points even shooting shit from the free throw line 3-9 I think. It's a two man show down here in Miami.

This. Problem is that people will convolute "most valuable" to mean "most valuable to their team" which IMO is wrong...MVP should be standardized regardless of team. It's most valuable, not most valuable to team. Teams readjusted their entire rosters last summer just for a chance for Lebron.... now that's an MVP

what a ridiculous start.. Some amazing plays... all of them by the Heat.

2 top 10 plays in the first 2 minutes.
