I'm in business! -M3 Order-

Well, I was told my spot was pulled at my local and wouldn't get a car until May at the earliest. That wasn't welcome news at all.
So, I started looking around. Another local dealer was able to work out a situation to essentially switch a built car with some other random dealer's allocated spot. Status 112 estimated week 8 or 9, I am told. Hence, should be going 150 REALLY quickly. Also, 19's should be available. Which I went with after not really being able to see production 18's.
Best part is I got it for $1k under MSRP.

Yes--do tell please, how'd you manage that? The car isn't even launched yet and prices are falling? Yikes!

Congrats Epacy! My car is the same specs except I ordered the non-extended leather. I'm in status 190 waiting at the port to board the transport ship.

That is what I am told. Will find out for sure tomorrow.
Went to Newbold tonight. Timsev was very cool about and understood the situation. No problems getting the deposit back. Very easy and good people to work with.

Thanks.

Because one person got below MSRP? I wouldn't read too much into that.

Actually, I think it is worth reading something into in the context of the other "I have a 112 spot available right now" posts we've seen from dealers here. Although one can argue that this is an exception since the offer is from a dealer in an area with low demand, etc., one should keep in mind dealers can and do sell cars to each other. So, this indirectly says something about the national situation I'd say--that the dealer could not sell the car to another dealer at MSRP or more, or did not see the value of trying to do so. I don't think this would have been possible during the E46 launch?

Congratulations Epacy! I think the color combo you chose is going to be pretty incredible IRL.

I also want to thank you for the referral over to the open allocation for the April delivery. Thanks man.

How can you sell a 112 spot. Their is nothing physical there to sell.
It could be a dealer demo car that didn't sell and they are putting it out for display. Too many unknowns.
