What car to get?

I am planning to get a new car which might possibly be a m3. But I was wondering wether to get a 911 turbo a r8 or buy and modify a m3 exactly like one of the Active Autowerke green machines or save for a GT3 Porsche or another Lambo

P.s. I already own a Shelby GT500 a lamborghini murci a lotus Elise and a rx-8 for drifting if this helps

The GT3 RS 4.0 is limited in production, so get it if they are still available. I said "if" because all 600 have been sold and 126 that were shipped to our shores are all accounted for.

If not, get the GT2 RS instead.

I'd sell your shelby (assuming you have another daily) and get lightly used Scud. The AA Green Machine is a waste of money imo

For someone reason I've never liked any of the ferraris ive driven i would rather have a mclaren or Lamborghini
and I don't want anything above 220,000 due to maintenance costs.
Why is the green machine a waste of money? For someone reason I've fallen in love with it.

I personally like the part about "Saving for a GT3 or another lambo". There's no "saving" for cars when you have a garage like that.

Pics of current garage...or i call pure BS!!!

When you get paid biweekly and are also buying a expensive house plus have a family there is something called saving for 2 or 4 or 6 weeks

Your worried about maintenance costs on an Fcar and you already own a lambo??
Maybe you should sell some of your cars since money seems to be a factor.

You can spend a fraction of that and get a killer track car. However, if you are hell bent on spending tons of money for a track car get the GT3 RS. Fairly low in upkeep...
Is a R8 any good? They look really sick

Unfortunately you cannot order GT3 or GT3 RS any more. There are some on dealers lot, and you can buy a second hand one. You will not be able to get a GT3 RS 4.0. I tried and all the US allocation is gone. With big markup you may find one but you cannot change any specs.

Supposedly, you already have an Elise. That is a damn good track car. What level are you? Have many track days do you have? Last thing you want is to learn in a GT3 RS..

That being said, I can kinda tell you don't have too much track experience. If you want to track your car, you have to consider the related expenses. A car like R8 will be expensive.. Why? Because it is heavy, it has a big engine. So it needs big brakes, big tires. And it will use them fast. Engine oil will be like 9quarts, every couple thousand miles... Track insurance goes up really fast for expensive cars... It adds up really quick.

If you want to enjoy the track, consider cars like E30/36/46 M3, Lotus Elise/Exige, GT3/RS. All used of course.

Even better, you can check forums like SCCA for already built race/track car sales:
http://www.sccaforums.com/forums/for.../scope/threads

LOL hahahah so true... that little tiny car is freakin fast when it done right...

sounds like OP is trolling around... some nice cars he got but i have to see picture of garage

but OP if you ever get one.... why buy an M3... you already have enough cars and getting an M3 to put on a track is not a smart thing to do... since it sounds like you have the dough... sell your shelby and get a GT3 RS... and track that beast.
