Porgy Roll Call!

Just got a mail from my CA. My car is actually on TOLEDO, which left BREMERHAVEN on 10/12 and ETA to arrive Port Hueneme on 11/3. BMW is so delayed on updating these info on their system. So for those of you who are waiting since Sept, it is quite possible that your car is already on its way to the US!

seems porgy fell off the map..at least on marinetraffic and sailx.....

Gene, same happened to my ship, the Bosporus Highway. These websites can only track the ship while it is within radio range of shore. You lose track as it moves away from the UK and regain the track as it closes in on the US... She's out there!!

it's normal. marintraffic can only track it around europe, so once in deep water it disappears unless it calls in.

Wow! it's ahead of schedule! it's also showing arrival in LA on the 16th instead of the 17th! SUCCESS!

Okay, it got pushed back to the 17th...this is frustration at it's peak. the closer the boat gets, the more painful the wait.

Ughhhhhhh no but seriously, I totally feel ya. It was supposed to go through the canal yesterday, wtf? Makin' circles out in the Caribbean right now... dohhh!!

Maybe it had to alter course a bit due to Hurricane Tomas or something? It hit Haiti just a few days ago...

my suspicion is that the canal is just busy, and they're holding to get a place in line. they were in port lastnight on the north side of panama... now back in their holding pattern and still haven't actually gone through the canal. I think they're well clear of the hurricane.
