m3 competition wheels painted or powdercoat ?
are these wheels painted or powdercoated? the reason i ask is cause i scratched the wheel and am getting it repaired and the wheel repair guy wanted to know. it most likely painted but trying to make sure.
also soes anyone know the color or the wheel? hyper silver? or is there a name bmw uses? thanks |

I would doubt very much that their painted, i'd think that they anodized them, but i could be wrong?

painted, you can get the silver paint from places like autogeek
Wurth and Einszett are two companies that make touchup/respray kits

If the guy doing the repair doesn't know, I would consider finding someone else to do the work.

well he seems to do very good work. And has gotten good reviews around the exotic community. so i was gonna try him.

When I powdered my ZCP wheels gloss black, the powder supplier said that the wheels were powdercoated. He even told me the powder manufacturer that BMW uses and the specific type of powder. He matched the powder I used (brand and type), so the shop that did the work just went over the factory powder. He said the only way you can do this is when the powder is the same. Very knowledgeable guy. Anyway, long story short, I am 100% certain the ZCP wheels are powdercoated.
