Should have powdercoated the TPMS nuts too . And top them with black caps. And paint the wheel weights black with a sharpie too . For some reason that bothered me, so now you can't see the valve stem or weights.

Hey, were you able to get your wheels perfectly aligned? I couldn't. They're close, but have sometimes have a very slight steering wheel vibration above 70 mph. This was after THREE attempts to get it right. And yes, no other better tire shop in this town. Seems to be a b*tch to get these wheels balanced properly. Noticed the difference immediately after the swap, so it's not the car or the wheels. And every time the shop rebalanced the wheels, weights ended up in totally different places... with the same machine (Hunter 9700).

Looks like what I would call "satin", not completely matte or semi-gloss. Looks really nice!

Are those your 19" OEM's powdercoated black?
I'm considering doing the same on my E93 M3 when it arrives next week.
Can I ask you if you're happy with the result? What did you pay for the work? Any advice?
Thanks,
DW

PC is MUCH tougher than paint. I can attest to that since I had a hell of a time removing the coat from the hub-centric area (DO NOT coat that area where the wheels mount to the hub; they won't fit, or seize if you force them in).

Having said that, I'd assume if you add a clear coat to the paint it'd end up similarly tough, but I'm not sure. I'd also assume it'd be much shinier, which many of us don't want, but also don't know. I paid $500 to do mine, plus $150 to dismount, remount, and rebalance tires. I have to say I couldn't get my wheels balanced like before, which was a disappointment, but the steering wheel vibration is minor, and is not felt with the hands on the wheel, like I always have anyway. Car looks much better in the flesh than pictures, and rotors stand out now, which is the first thing people notice, but I'm fully aware it's an acquired taste . I needed to do something about that color . Hope this helps.

...hey man, you are absolutely right! I do feel a slight vibration between 70 mph...I am glad I am not alone! One thing though, the people who installed my wheels told me to come back after a week or so to tighten up the wheel nuts, since the fresh paint of PC takes a few days to really settle...perhaps this will make a difference?

I absolutely love the Verds....great grip and awesome looks ( Giugiaro designed these wheels).....not to mention the PRICE!!!!! I paid 50% of the cost for OEM Michelins...and so far all the reviews rave about these Verds...

I could not be happier...I think (just my opinion) that the 19" OEM wheels are great looking wheels...I was not to fond of the chrome/dark gray combo, hence I painted the wheels...guys did a great job and looks OEM..I like white and black rims (if you see my previous posts on my Ducati and the Cayman S hahaha...ALL white and black wheels)

Thanks mate....it is crazy because I actually think the wheels look bigger somehow....I dont think I will get aftermarket rims anymore, unless someone puts out an OUTSTANDING new design...OEM 19" are great looking wheels, they are not as heave as one would think and are strong as shit...not to mention the tire/wheel insurance BMW threw in the deal...I can replace all wheels and tires if scrapped, damaged or anything...
