Anyone running 285/25/20?

I am worried that the profile is so thin that bending the rim is inevitable.

What size rim will you be running and what brand tire would you want to go with??

Usually 285/25/20 run perfect for 335 but when it comes to the M running a 11" 305/25 would be the best followed by 285/30 for 10.5"

Hope this helps but you can run 285/25

Not the best size. 285/25-20s are almost 3/4" smaller OD than stock (3% in circumference). That's 3/8" less sidewall height, so yes, rims would be more vulnerable.

295/25s would be 2% smaller, a better choice, depending on rim width. Or, 285/30s would be about 2% larger, also better, IMO. These specs are all based on PS2s.

I would recommend running a 285/30. This is the recommended tire size for a 20" wheel (20x10.5) and provides a little extra rubber to separate the wheel from the potholes.

This is the setup we recommend to our customers.

I am trying to run 20x10's in the rear.

I am asking about 285/25 R20's because according to this (http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp) diameter calculator it's the size of tire/rim the most closely matches the stock 18 setup (only a 2% difference). I'd like to make sure that DSC continues to work.

Go by actual specs of the tires you are considering, not a generic calculator. As you can see by my examples, other sizes are closer in PS2s. The best piece of data to look at in this regard is the revs/mile, which compares circumference.

Thanks Greg and everyone else.

Generally speaking, I have no problem running 295's as long as they'll fit. I'd prefer to keep from dialing in too much understeer. As such, suggestions on what I can fit up front would be helpful too.

The wheel stats:

F: 20x8.5 +34
R: 20x10 +22

295s are a tad wide for 10s, though they'll fit--the 285/30 option is probably better. 245/30s would be perfect in front, if you want to bias the rear. 255/30 would be another option, though again, the 245s are a better fit for an 8.5" wheel

295 is a lot of rubber for a 10" wide rim. Typically, a 275 is the best fit for a 10" wide wheel in terms of a Non-M E92. A 285 would be my recommendation for this specific situation.
