Source volume lower when using USB drive?
Anybody notice if the source volume is significantly softer when using a USB flash drive as opposed to an iPod or CDs? Its been a awhile since I played a CD but last night I did and noticed a juge jump in volume vs most of my files on the USB drive. I might have to hook up the iPod and see if I notice the same thing.

You could always use MP3gain to boost the volume of the songs on the USB drive.
And since it'd digital, you don't increase distortion or add noise etc like analogue recordings |

If yon think there might be a problem with the USB socket
Try hooking up your iPod with the standard apple USB-dock cable That way you are accessing the files as a drive, not as an iPod |
