c55 AMG vs. E92 M3....

Had a couple quick runs with a C55 AMG. Both of us had a passenger.

His 2nd gear seemed tall and by 3rd he started slowly creeping ahead. Asked about mods but said he was stock.

Does this sound right?

No. Look at the trap speeds.

C55 = 105mph
E92 = 113mph

Yeah.... something doesn't add up.

If comparing stock cars, the m3 is def. faster than a c55.

A C55 AMG is no where near as fast as an E9x M3. He's got something under the hood, whether it be a chip or something.

Or maybe you are shifting too slow?

I'd say

C55 - 107
M3 - 111

I've never seen a stock E92 go faster than 111, but they do have it in them if the conditions are PERFECT

On the contrary, the slowest i've ever seen a C55 go is 105. I'd say the actual average is around more around 106.5

Keep in mine the W210 E55's- competed with E39 M5's- are heavier cars have gone 13.2@105 stock.

This race was right. Torque got you down low but you began to creep away.
