Rear Seat Protector Cover for dogs on E92

I need some kind of cover to protect my seats for my dog. I have searched around on google and have seen a few different covers. Most of the covers run 30-60 bucks. I saw the BMW oem cover for 270 shipped. It looked like it protects better. Not sure how hard it is to install and uninstall. Also it looks bulky to store. Does anyone have any experience with rear seat covers?

I have one in my car and I simply leave it in there. It's very well made and worth the extra $$. Easy to fit and fits very well. You don't lose the rear functionality of the seats, just the storage and aircon vents. Passengers can still sit in the back and use the seatbelts (it's designed that way).

So get one and don't worry about storing it - just leave it in there it works great and very easy to clean.

(it's double layered too, bottom layer is a waterproof membrane/foam product that doesn't scratch the seat material, the top is a faux fur type lining).

I'll get you a photo when I get home from work.

Oh and I've used it to carry an Akita (big heavy dog and she fits in there fine without damaging anything) - one of the best covers I've had.

Thanks... I have two dogs about 60ish lbs. I used to have a F-150 and I could fold the seats up, but that got stolen. So I somehow went the opposite way with the M3.

I should get that cover but to protect the car from my kids. I like the pieces to protect the back of the driver and passenger seats. My kids like to kick the back of the seats. Good thing it's plastic and not leather. Thanks for showing the pics.

I had them on my E92 335i for my small pup. Worked great.

Install/uninstall takes about 5 mins top after 2 times use.
Even though it's somewhat bulky, it comes with nice storage bag with handle which actually helps the covers stay cleans while not in use.

It's a bit pricy but works best. So I got one for my E90 M3 now.

Does anyone know where to get this? Is the dealer the only option for this one? RealOEM shows the price at $319.95 and that kind of sucks...

Hi Folks,

I post over on Bimmerforums UK and have joined up here to ask about this cover.

We get the same item in the UK, but none of our dealers seem to be able to accurately describe their £200 rear seat cover

I like the look of it very much but also need access to the ISOFIX anchor points for a child seat.

Can one of you folks who have bought this cover say whether a) the ISOFIX holes are already in the cover when it's new, or b) is the material the sort that would take well to having small cuts made for the fittings to pass through (without fraying etc)?

Apologies if I offend anyone signing up just to ask this (and also for not having an M3!), but any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

Chris
