Fantasy opinions...

So I'm trying to decide which players to start for me this week.

From my running backs I can pick two:

Pierre Thomas (NO)*
Brandon Jackson (GB)*
Ronnie Brown (MIA)
Darren McFadden (OAK)

From my W/R I can pick three:

Brandon Marshall (MIA)*
Miles Austin (DAL)*
Austin Collie (IND)*
Hines Ward (PIT)

The ones with *'s are who I currently have starting. I'm having a hard time choosing my RB's. Thomas and Brown were my starters last week and had solid performances and I picked up Jackson and McFadden on waivers. McFadden was a beast last week but I'm unsure if he can have a repeat performance. A good thing though is that Oakland is playing St. Louis, and I think they have a pretty weak defense against the run. On the other hand, everyone is going nuts about Jackson right now and at home against Buffalo he could have a good game. I think Thomas is a solid choice considering he plays on one of the best offenses in the country. I'm doubtful of Miami and Brown's running ability against the Vikings this week.

With my W/R's I feel I have the best 3 out of my 4 starting. I had Marshall, Austin, and Ward starting last week. Ward had a pretty good week, Austin got me a ton of points since he was the only reliable receiver for Dallas, and Marshall was disappointing. But the big play potential of Marshall is hard to ignore. What I can't decide though is if I should drop one of my RB's and pick up an extra receiver, possibly Legedu Naanee or Mark Clayton (got double the amount of passes than the next person on STL). I feel like my RB's are really solid, but I can't pick which one I would want want to drop if I had to pick up an extra receiver.

So, any opinions?

I think you answered your own questions. I think it would help if you listed their oppositions.

Pierre Thomas (NO) vs. @SF
Brandon Jackson (GB)* vs. BUF
Ronnie Brown (MIA) vs. @ MIN
Darren McFadden (OAK) vs. STL

IMO, I would start Thomas and McFadden. Like you mentioned, the Rams D is atrocious and Michael Bush will prolly not play again. As for Brandon Jackson, he's an average RB and John Kuhn might steal the goal line carries away from Jackson. I would need to watch a game and make an evaluation to see how Jackson really fairs.

I wouldn't drop any of your RBs for any of the WRs that you listed. RBs are way to valuable in fantasy football and you have guys that will prolly do well on a consistent basis. WRs are a dime a dozen and I think you're making a haste decision after only week of games.

Thanks. I'm gonna sub McFadden for Jackson.

My fantasy football involves myself and some New England cheerleaders.

Go Patriots.

I would use Jackson and Thomas. They are about as close to feature backs and they come (although you never really know with New Orleans), and Brown is facing a stout defense. I know B.Jackson is not the most talented in the world, but he's still pretty good, and he's facing a really crappy run D. Michael Bush is probable, and you never know with the Raiders running game. My guess is that there will be a relatively even time share this week. This is something you need to watch though. If something happens to Bush from now until the game, you need to put in McFaddin.

As for receivers, definitely play Miles Austin. My second option would be Hines Ward. He's going to be consistent, even with the QB situation there. I'm not sure I like Collie too much this week (although Peyton Manning IS going to throw the ball quite a bit), and Marshall is a better player. I'd start Marshall.

I would NOT drop one of those RB's to pick up a WR. The only RB I'd consider is McFaddin, but if anything happens to Bush then McFaddin is gold. Those other receivers are ehhhhhh.... They had good Week 1's, but they are receivers. Much more finnicky.

Here's one for you guys to weigh in on....

I scooped up Mike Vick in the 4th qtr of the eagles game last week. He was extremely impressive and based on the way Kolb looked, it didn't seem like he was going to be the starter on this sunday. Well it looks like the move paid off thus far. I have Tom Brady and now Mike Vick as my back up. TB is playing the Jets this weekend. Jets D is good, offense may be atrocious but there is no denying their ability to absolutely control a game with their D. This is a huge rivalry game and means a lot to both teams.

Whereas Vick, and his Eagles, is playing the Detroit Lions. Need I say more..? Who would you start? Right now, I have Vick starting.

At the TE spot I have to decide between Mercedes Lewis or Cooley

And finally the toughest question of the week, my stable of work horses.

My RBs are as follows... (I have a couple trade proposals out there since I fucked up my draft and the auto-queue picked 12 RBs 1 QB 1 WR and 1 TE)

Frank Gore, Rashard Mendenhall, Ahmad Bradshaw, Knowshon Moreno, Ricky Williams, and Jahvid Best. I traded Arian foster for Lee Evans... How sad is that? I had no WR core at all.. and Lee Evans wasn't much of an upgrade.

Right now, I have Gore and Mendenhall starting. Same as I did last week. What do you guys think?

Yay!! started Mendenhall over Best... 6 points vs 45 points.. 2 weeks in a row Mendenhall disappoints. Last week if it wasn't for that run in OT he would have had 5 points. Becoming seriously upset with how poorly this guy is running. That offense should be giving him 30+ touches, instead they want to throw the football with Batch.

Here's my main team .. pretty dissapointed lol. Picked up Michael Vick for week 2 and he blew it up as expected but the dumbasses are planning on keeping Kolb in the starting position (for now). Randy Moss, Larry Fitzgerald, and Jason Witten have been leaving big piles of stinky steamers on the field. Steven Jackson is okay but none of my RB's are doing much.

Basically other FF teams in my league are outscoring my whole team almost with one player lol.

QB
Matt Ryan
Mark Sanchez
Michael Vick

WR/TE
Randy Moss
Larry Fitzgerald
Jason Witten
Chris Cooley
Greg Camarillo
Mark Clayton

RB
Steven Jackson
Reggie Bush
LT
Cadillac Williams

Kicker
Stephen Gostkowski

Defense

Proof that the Draft means very little. I am 2-0 right now with 211 points.. here was my original team post draft...

Tom Brady - QB
Sidney Rice - WR
Frank Gore - RB
Kellen Winslow - TE
Rashad Mendenhall - RB
Jahvid Best - RB
Knowshon Moreno - RB
Jonathan Stewart - RB
Arian Foster - RB
Ricky Williams - RB
Justin Forsett - RB
Michael Bush - RB
Ahmad Bradshaw - RB
Brandon Jacobs - RB
Fred Jackson - RB

Now here's my team after making 20+ moves. Last trades made last night/this morning. Pretty excited, got Welker for Knowshon (bench) and Meachem (Guy desperately needed a RB). Got Hines Ward and Kevin Walter for Rashad Mendenhall (Played for me week 1-2).

Tom Brady - QB
Michael Vick - QB (BN)
Mario Manningham - WR
Hines Ward - WR (BN)
Kevin Walter - WR
Wes Welker - WR
Frank Gore - RB
Jahvid Best - RB
Ahmad Bradshaw - RB (BN)
Ricky Williams - RB (BN)
Chris Cooley - TE
Mercedes Lewis - TE (BN)
David Akers - K
Pittsburgh Steelers - Def

I was certain I was gonna be a cellar dweller. I even named my team "Pine Riders". But somehow I pulled it together, last night I was trailing my opponent by 9 points and I only had Gore left. Gore scored 28 last night and I went to sleep.

Well, I'm now 3-0 so far and I just laid a huge smackdown on my opponent this week. And this was with Miles Austin playing like crap! If I had started Vick instead of Brees I'd have another 10 points on top of this

I was down by 15 points going into the Sunday night game.... Brandon Marshall won it for me, like Gore did the week before on monday night. You can scroll up and see how my draft looked. I am 3-0...

P.S Sat Vick this week at 12:52 pm... I am glad I won. If I would have lost by 10 or less I would have cut Brady out of spite.

Wow. One of the worst teams in my league just annihilated the best one and he had two players on bye weeks and one that was out that he didn't even change!

I sat Dez bryant and Knowshon Moreno for Brandon Marshall and Jahvid Best... I am still up by 20+ points with Ward and Vick left to play. But I need points as much as wins at this point. I have been tied for lead since week 3. 7-2 right now.

I dropped Marshall. He's been a underperformer the whole season. Not worth keeping him IMO.

FML, I sat Brady for Vick. I am now down 20 points going into MNF. Not gonna lie, I am a bit nervous. I win this I capture first place in my league and need one win to clinch a playoff spot.

Hahaha, looks like we picked right with starting Vick. Not even 5 minutes into the game and he has 17 points.

Holy shit, is Vick going insane right now or what. 26 fantasy points in the first quarter alone.... This is madness!

35!!!! I sat Brady who scored 43... Not that it matters at these point totals, but it's fucking awesome!

Fuck yeah man! You gonna win this week?

(10:12 pm) EDIT: 46 points. I hope he finishes the half with one more to cap off the greatest half in the history of the Eagles with Mcnabb on the opposing sideline. This is good that the Redskins are actually staying in the game. Means Vick gets more action, and we get more points!

Oh yeah. I'm up 119 to 74 now, haha. I started off the game down 62 to 74 hahahaha (I also have Maclin). Why can't this happen when I go up against the best teams in the league?

Here is mine. I could have scored 160 this week.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

My bench went insane today... 31 from Steve Johnson, 34 and counting for Brees, 25 for Pit's D... I hope Vick goes insane again this week.
