I had no idea that if you touch (not push) any of the programmable buttons, the button function displays on the LCD screen. Great for me as I'm always forgetting which button is programmed for what function.

You mean keep your finger on the top of the handle where you touch to lock? Or actually grip the handle like you're opening it?

The lock part.

Also if you hold the unlock button on the key fob with the doors closed, it'll roll down your windows.

Bet you can even stick your head up in there. Give it a try and post a pic.

I can tell you the auto roll down feature is great in the Texas heat. Especially on a heat soaked car!

Another forum member found out that if you hit the "power" button while in reverse, the M3 turns into a submarine.

This might be more appropriate for a "What my M3 cannot do."

And I've only tried this once, with no success:

Is it true that the instrument lighting (speedometer, tachometer) can NOT be adjusted while the M3 is in motion?

I was driving one night between Houston and Dallas, and reached the outskirts (aka The Middle of Nowhere) and wanted to dim the dash lights -- but I couldn't get the option to appear -- not until the next day when I was sitting in the garage. Or was I fumbling the BC selection?

Maybe. If I hold mine long enough it turns from a e90 into a e93. The only problem is, if I hold the button too long after that it turns into Optimus Prime.

So they applied the same logic to the windows that they did to the trunk. Hold the key fob button for 2 seconds to open it, hold for 2.25s to set off the alarm. Asanine.

I usually get low-mid 20's mpg on the highway, between 22 and 25 mpg. But city is 11-14 mpg

The trunk button? I held it for like 5 seconds and no alarm.

Probably. Or perhaps my alarm is disabled? My rearview mirror red button doesn't blink or light up when I lock the car.

Or you don't have the option? While I've not timed mine I'm going to go with 2.23333 seconds for the trunk and holding to 2.3335 for the alarm O_o lol Makes no difference anyways I suppose with comfort access. Since all it does is unlatch it you still have to lay hands on it to open so with the comfort just skip the fob step and go directly to hands on.
