Hopefully we see a csl 250-350lbs lighter with 25-30more HP. Those numbers may sound modest but 10% weight reduction + 10% power gain = 20% better power to weight ratio; which is a huge gain in performance.

You also forgot to add the $200,000 price tag for the M3 GT2 configuration.

300 lbs (Very likely seeing the E46 M3 CSL was 370 lbs lighter than the standard E46) 350 ft-lbs (No way in hell since it is a high-revving car that emphasize flat torque curves plus the car does not have enough displacement to make that much peak torque even if it is tuned to come in at 7000 rpm. For example, the ALMS M3 GT-R makes 500 HP and 370 ft-lbs@6500 rpm. For the production CSL, it could be more than likely 320 - 330 ft-lbs around 6500 - 6800 rpm at the very best.)

I have to disappoint all of you. I have not seen the car. I never told this. But the man that told me about the car was so smiling that I have no doubts about the final look. My personal feeling is that there will not be any strange aerodinamic spoiler (wing) on the back of the car.
Just to show you that I am really involved with something that really happened to me, I sent the complete list of what I know to one Moderator of this Forum that I consider a friend. He knows now all I know, including the name of the big Boss that told me everything. If this Moderator wants to confirm he can So pls be patient because if I will be right all of us will enjoy. If I will be disavowed by the facts, most of you will have the free permit to insult me... I am ready.. So since the 3-4 October is not weeks in front like someone wrote, but simply few days from now, I would suggest to be patient and look what will happen in the next week. Regards

He was joking, I think. You originally said the news would break (if it breaks) from November 3rd to November 8th (IIRC). But above you said October 3rd or 4th (which would imply almost a year from now), which I assume was an error.

absolutely never happening. if anything the 1 series will get something along the lines of a "135m" similar to the e34 got. if we do see an M1 itll be in the form of a mid-engined 200+ mph supercar.

Not sure BMW have the stomach for a supercar at the moment unless it was of the super green varieties. But such a car would be exciting.
