First 7 Godzilla's arrive in UAE(AbuDhabi) with crazy prices!

People living in the USA are complaining about the markups for the upcoming GTR but, they have no idea how bad it could be elsewhere here.

I added my name to the waiting list long time ago,when it was shown in the Dubai Motor Show but, I decided to remove my name. Just look at the following maths and you will get my reasoning as to why I don't want it anymore.

MSRP price: Estimated to be around $71000(full options). If we convert that figure into Dirhams(UAE's currency(Dhs)) with the exchange rate of around 1$=3.65Dhs, we get around $71k=Dhs260000. The salesman in the agency told me that its going to be around Dhs300k. But a few days ago, when I called the agency to inquire about the final price, they told me its going to be around Dhs430k.

So the numbers are:
MSRP > $71k=Dhs260k
UAE's price > Dhs430k\$3.65=$118K=Dhs 430k
Mark up in $> 118K-71k=47k(Dhs171k)

I love the GTR and I would have settled for something between Dhs300-340k but DHs430k.......NO THANK YOU! I don't have any ''Oil money" so 430K isn't what I will say gettable. I am sure the prices will drop in 2 years and I'll be waiting with my arms open.

Till then......Zo6(Dhs260K), here I come.

you think you have it bad. i live in trinidad where $1USD=$6.30TTD. I've paid the equivalent of $80,000USD for a Eurospec Mercedes Benz E200 Kompressor. our import taxes in this country is high and we are built on oil money. so many people have the E-class over here and have settled for it. a BMW 325 Coupe starts at about 475,000TTD (75,400USD) We dont have super cars like how dubai does, just the german cars.

Those GTR will come into trinidad used from japan in the next 2-4years or maybe soon if some rich guy wants one. all the Skylines & Evo's come into the country like this. rarely ever are they ordered new from the dealer sine they would have to be a "special order"

Bro....I feel your pain! But anyway....I think owning a german car over there will be like owning a supercar over there. People will know you spend that kind of money to get it
