Switching from RS3's to NT01's. Any clearance issues?

I am switching from 275/35-18 RS3's on ARC 18x10 ET25 to same size NT01's.
Camber: f -2.1/r -2.0
Since the tread on NT01's appears to be significantly wider than on RS3's, should I expect some rubbing on fronts? What front camber are people running to resolve clearance issues? The clearance with RS3's and -2.1 front camber is minimal. Rears will not be an issue, as I actually use a 10 mm spacer on rears with RS3's.

NT01's tread is signicantly wider than RS3's

there are several of us who run NT-01's 275/35/18's quite successfully on our M3 's.
I also have the Arc-8 ET-25 wheels and have no problems with them with this combination. Enjoy.
Don't run any spacers on them either.

Thanks, I'm currently running f -2.1/r -2.0 camber with the RS3's. What camber are you running with NT01? I have read that when running R-compounds we need to run more camber. Presumably to cope with increased grip and therefore increased lateral loads.

I have -2.0 on the rears and currently have -2.2 on the fronts.

Used -2.6 originally on the front, but while great on the track, had some inside wear problems on my street tires with long highway miles.

-2.2 a good compromise for both ( or get off my butt and actually use my adjustable chamber plates...)

Thanks, good to know! I just installed a new set of PSS on street rims, which will also see track use on wet or cold days. So maybe, running -2.2 might be a good compromise btw both sets of tires. I also enjoy wet track days and not having too much camber seems to better in those conditions.

I run the NT-01 in 275/35-18 on a 9.5 ET24, but get about 6mm of tire bulge that you wont get on a 10" wide wheel. The end result is that I probably have about the same frontspacing as your 10 ET25 package does, and I don't have any rubbing whatsoever at -1.5 degrees of camber.

The Nt-01 in 275 fits exactly like a 285.

Thanks for sharing. I decided to increase front camber to -2.5, mainly to increase front grip in slow corners. I kept the rear at -2.0 and increased rear toe to 0.07 to increase stability exiting corners. I still have another weekend on RS3's, so can't eval NT01's until the following event.

Have you noticed a huge difference in front grip with the various camber settings that you have ran on the car? I mean, is it dramatic as you approach -2.0 or beyond?

I still get some push with -1.5 degrees while autocrossing, but still need to go back to a big track to see how the car feels in a faster situation. I am maxed out with the pins pulled, so I would really have to put in some effort or $$ to get any more negative camber.

So far yes. Each increase in negative camber has resulted in more grip, less understeer and quicker lap times. I first started with stock camber (-1.2), then pulled pins and added more camber (-1.6), then installed plates and increased camber (-2.1). And now, increased camber to -2.5. I will post impressions following next track day.

can the NT01's be driven on the street/highway to and from track events? or do you have to put them on when you get there.

Mounted NT01's no rubbing

I Just got the NT01's mounted and as most have said there is no rubbing, even with 10 mm spacer on rears. Front camber is -2.5 and rear is -2.0 with 10 mm spacer. I will post impressions of the difference of NT01's vs. RS3's after next HPDE.

Is that right? You are running toe in up front?

I've just had the car realigned to .09 toe in at the rear on each side. Quick impression based on a session at Harris Hill going about 80% is that the rear is not as wiggly. I was on OEM brake pads as well.

Yes, just 0.5 toe in per side. Under braking, it is almost zero toe. Trying not to wear inside of fronts (PSS) too soon.
