Best car for around $24,000?

Well im trying to get out of the lease on my 09 328i simply because its to much money at the moment. I have been tossing around a few ideas in my head and the few cars that have caught my interest are
2002-2004 C5 Z06
Possibly financing a Mustang GT. 05-09 model
Maybe a new gti when it comes out , lease
All in all the payment has to be around 400 a month. And the vette being its so old may be pushing it because i really cant finance longer then 54 months.. Any ideas?

Well 2 seats would do it for me because its RARE i ever have any people in my car because im sucha freak with it being clean lol. Um i think id like mix of both handling and power to be quite honest. I think the Z06 really stands out to me, but then again it may be to much with the current finance rates etc.

But really there should be no reason why the coupes would be more than the converts.... when they retailed the coupes were actually less $

The Z4 M is the best car on that list, and that 27k is a STEAL for what you get esp. with those miles.
i wish the coupes were the same as the verts. i'd trade my car in today.

+1
Z4M coupes are mid/high $30s

Plus 38k miles is a decent chunk of miles on a used M car.

Because now that the Z4M is no longer in production and the new Z4 is a vert, there's people scrambling to pick up Z4M coupes - and the production number is lower for M coupes.

You may be able to get a brand new Nissan 370Z for that price.

My vote goes for getting the brand new MS3 for around the $24k mark, or less.

Thumbs down

Save your money and stop buying cars you can't afford. Just buy an econocar until you can be more comfortable paying for a more expensive car.

Why not pick up a low-mileage 350Z?

Your probably right, and that's what I SHOULD do. But
I'm willing to be a little stressed out in order to make a payment. Even if it is very stupid at times . I really love cars
more then anything besides my family lol it's quite a sickness

I don't think I could enjoy any vehicle I own if it was "stressing" me out to pay for it. I don't even see how I could look at it without feeling somewhat remorseful about its purchase.

Trust me, you'll enjoy the cash sitting in your pocket a lot more than the car.

Dont stretch yourself just to have another car.

If you must have something fun, try a older Z4 which would probably be cheaper.

Try a Miata for much less.

The Civic Si is a great buy too.

Really not much - the M Coupe is twice as rigid structurally (32,000 Nm/degree of flex) compared to high teens for the M Roadster, which itself is higher than the E46 M3 Coupe, so not too shabby; the Coupe also has a slightly faster steering rack.

It's more expensive because they're more rare and gradually being more and more sought-after by people interested in tracking a car, since roadsters are almost banned for tracks in the US these days.

For the OP's budget, I'd get a nice E46 M3 or Z3 M Coupe with S54.
