pls help with offsets on Work VSXX 20 inch wheels

Not familiar with offsets especially when going with after market wheels. My local wheel shop has the following wheels work vsxx in stock which is better then waiting a few months. I don't want a stretched tire look and the lip over exceeding the tire wall IMO it looks a little to ghetto for my taste. Hopefully you guys can help me out before I take the plunge. I also want to go with Michelin pss car is lowered on swift springs. Hopefully you can also recommend a tire size. Thanks guys!

20x9.5 +24
20x11 +25
Full reserve lip

20x9.5 +28
20x10.5 +29
Step lip (This setup is less aggressive)

I would roll on the second set up with the stepped lip and then do 275/295 tires. More specifically, run 275/30/20 front and 295/30/20 rear. You shouldn't rub.

I was thinking the same. U think the front would be to wide 275? I found this pic and hope it doesn't look like this

255/30 on a 20 inch wheel is as wide as iv seen with no rub, its a pretty freaking tall tire. Rear you can go up to 315 depending on offset. One of my sets are 20's
20x11 ET33 315/25/20
20x9 ET 17 255/30/20

Much prefer my 18inch volks though.

275 might be too wide now that I think about it, but you could drop down to a 265 and get a tiny bit of stretch. It won't look like that, lol.

I don't track the car but I hope the ride isn't going to be rough. I also heard these wheels are pretty heavy so I will loose some performance but in my opinion if you go with a 2 piece wheel 19's look to small.

From 20 inch pretty lite mono block 20 inch wheels to running my 18 inch volk te37 sl's its... a pretty drastic difference. You get so much better response/handling with the smaller wheels as well as being able to run a fatter sidewall.
Even daily driving you will notice big difference, I honestly doubt ill ever put my 20's back on the car.

Did you run the same type of tire between the 20" and your TE37 SL's? Because usually a smaller sidewall is "better" in response for handling because there's less flex - again, relative to the tires you were using.

No I run a thicker sidewall with the 18 inch wheels. Far more room to play with

18 Inch

20 Inch

Right right, but I meant are you running the same type of tire (i.e. summer compound etc etc)

PSS have stiffer sidewalls than most - if not all - contis.

Ah gotcha,
Iv run the 20s with PSS and Toyo Proxes T1R's.
Run the 18's with PSS and Falken Azenis.

Falken's as a 200 treadwear tire of course surpass the others but PSS to PSS the 18's just handle/feel better and since thicker sidewall "still lowprofile" its a better ride and much more pothole proof for Wheels.

My 20's cost $1600 a wheel, the volks $850 a wheel. Since iv gotten the volks the 20's have stayed in storage, not trying to talk you out of your wheels or anything but.. If id of know how different the wheels felt, not to mention the huge selection of tires you can get for 18's vs the very very limited tires/sizes you can run with the 20's on this car. I would of never purchased the 20 inch wheels.

If just for mostly show or looks it does not matter either way

I may just stick with my 19" comp wheels and go with pss. Replacing my contis 255/275. For an oem wheel I think they are one of the nicest looking wheels. I just wanted a change. Now I know why 20" wheels on this forum take a long time to sell.

BTW Car looks great!
