How to cheat brake pad warning?
Hi guys.
I don't have the rear brake pad sensor. Don't know how I lost it, don't know when I'm gonna buy it. I'd appreciate if you didn't enter in that matter. There is the brake pad service warning, and now I want to cheat the board computer. Would that be possible? Could I cut the sensor wires (I only lost the probe), and isolate them from each other, so that there is no current in the wires? Could I short them, so that the current is max? Could I use a proper resistor so that there a proper current? Thanks a lot. |

If you already have the service warning, it can be complicated. Some have had luck cutting and connecting the wires would allow them to reset the service indicator through the stalk/menu. I had a hard time but was able to reset through my scan tool (Foxwell). If you don't have the warning, one can supposedly rest without too much issue.
