Finally ED '12 M3! Help on Price! What's the Exact price I should calculate on?

2. Which is the correct calculation?

(A) {Car price + gas guzzler + destination + ($600 over invoice which the dealer asked)} x 1.07 (7% NJ tax) = Final Price

(B) {(Car price) x 1.07} + gas guzzler + destination + $600 = Final Price

(C) {(Car price + gas guzzler + destination) x 1.07} + $600 = Final Price

Yep, you pay tax on gas guzzler. It is actually a tax collected from BMW by the govt. http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f6197.pdf

Your question tells me that you never have taken a close look at your own paperwork... unless there's no sales tax in your state.

Re-reading the original question, it's actually option A. Dunno if there was an edit I missed or I was half asleep that morning

Basically you pay sales tax on everything not related to title/registration.
