My new 2013 Melbourne Red coupe

This has been a long process from ordering through delivery. In total, 5 months. However and now that it is in my garage, it was worth the wait. I took a chance with ordering Melbourne Red but, IMO, what a great color for this car.

I took delivery on Saturday and have only driven it twice for (roughly) 140 miles. The weather hasn't been great. Configuration and mods listed below. More to come. Mostly cosmetic and software tune.

Configuration:

Competition Pkg
Premium Pkg
Heated seats
Enhanced Audio
DCT
Carbon Fiber Roof

Adds:

OEM black kidney grilles
M Performance Exhaust
IND painted reflectors
IND gills.

Thanks all. Aside from needing more seat time, in my limited time behind the wheel, wow, what a car! Toughest part is keeping the revs under 5.5k RPM and not using M-dynamic mode. Oh well, 1k miles to go...

MR is a great color, looks beautiful. Can't wait to see it in-person next weekend. Did they get the M-Performance Exhaust on yet?

Agreed to order in January but wanted a delay of 1 month before ordering (as I was considering PCD and wanted to be sure the winter weather was over). My allocation was given to another customer in error or so the Sales Mgr stated. My dealer arranged a swap for M3 build against their M6 allocation. Car finally built in April but sat in the port of exit for 37 days. Add to that an extra day at sea, 8 days from VPC to dealer equated to 5 months.

In the end and because of the issues BMW provided a credit toward the MPE and the dealer donated the black kidney grilles.

In my opinion, my dealer did everything possible to provide me with a great customer experience (even though in the early stages I felt differently).

Congrats buddy! Love the combos. Hope to see you on the roads

Side note: Love the service at BMW Tulley, going there next week to get a few things done, nothing major just regular oil change and an alignment.
