Remove rear tint for track days?

I currently have very dark tint on my e90M rear and back two windows. Spoke to someone at a recent meet who's part of BMWCCA who said I would need to remove the rear tint to be allowed to their events (so drivers behind me can see through at traffic ahead), is this the case with most track clubs?

As well, anyone have this? tints on side windows but not rear...just thinking whether to remove all the tints or just the rear one...decisions decisions...just takes away from the slickness since the car is jet black and tints look good.

I think certain spec series in other clubs prohibit tints on any windows, so it's not unheard of. For BMWCCA you can just go with lighter tints. I was at one of their track events and no one said anything about the tints I had on my car.

What type of events are you talking about? For an HPDE... I've never heard of this. I have a jet black E90 with relatively dark tint and drove several times with my local BMW CCA chapter (HPDE's) and never was hassled about it.

IMHO, if someone can't see traffic in front of you on the track, I would say they aren't very situationally aware. If you're racing, well maybe.

I did the national BMW CCA Oktoberfest in WI two years ago in my 335i which had 30 or 35 tint, no problems.

Sounds odd to me. If you can't see around a car and have to look through their windows, you have other issues.

Remove tints just for track events? Don't do it. Just find other organizers' events. I even have tint on the front windshield.

I have had 5% tint on all of my cars including my 335 and my M3 and I have never had a problem going to any of the BMWCCA events.

Jersey chapter is notorious for their "very extensive" tech inspections. They are by far the pickiest in the east I've run into.

However, they're the only ones ever to catch a broken throttle return in my car.

Get rid of it, kinda non-functional for Jersey? Maybe if you lived in So Cal, FL, AZ...The car looks aggressive enough and I think classier w/o mega tints.

Oh also, might want to email a pic to the event registrar or tech inspector before you go to an event that has a tint rule. This will save everyone time.

I'm on the board for the BMW CCA and have never heard of a window tint restriction for track schools. Whoever told you this must be misinformed.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
NJ BMW CCA does not accept open-top vehicles, convertibles of any kind (soft or hard top) nor SUV/SAVs for on-track events.
ALL AFTER-MARKET GLASS TINTING MUST BE PRE-APPROVED BY THE CHIEF OF TECH. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN A FAILED TECH INSPECTION AND FORFEITURE OF THE REGISTRATION FEE
The rules are out there. I've found the west coast CCA is completely different in many ways than east coast CCA.
