Haha it's a quarter mile car for sure...should be something else once I swap the PSS for R888's. Just limited a bit on the top end for now. Mightly impressive how your car pulls on the top end.

I kept watching this vid over and over and the thing that struck me is how mean your exhaust sounds and how little time you spend in each gear. Our Stage 2 S/C M3's are in a completely different universe compared to your car.

Haha, agreed brother. It's the stock muffler with the ESS X-pipe.

Congrats Drew! Well deserved wins!

I have long underestimated the DCT, but you proved to me otherwise. I honestly thought it would be a good race, but never thought it would be that close.

To answer the questions of why, how, etc.. my car weighs over 4000lbs and was ran with a passanger, subs/stereo, luggage (forgot to take it out, lol) and full interior plus an 8.5 second certified NHRA cage. Its a fat ass to say the least and does not get traction below about 80mph so I run it on the gate (15lbs) below 80mph or so.. then ramp it up above that. In past years I'd ran all out without ramping boost and was able to drop my 60-130's from 7s to 5.6s simply by pulling power below 4th gear.

I've always been all about running a true all out street car as I'd drive it on the street but I think its going to be tough to reliably beat 181 with the same configuration in October unless the air temps are lower. I'll likely gut the rear seats and stereo and add some areo... then I'm coming for you Drew!

Drew car is running amazing! Well done. I am super envious of these shift events. We need so etching like this on the east coast!

I keep watching the video of you and the E46. It's amazing how it looks like your car is just going to keep pulling and then the E46 just comes out of no where with ridiculous top end power. Amazing how much power that kit on the E46 is putting at that speed. That's a great tune they put together there for that system. Those turbo set ups on the E46 I have always loved. And just stupid amounts of power.

Thanks Brother, and your AMAZING 181 MPH trap is well deserved. Everyone from the SS3 family thinks you're an awesome dude, and your car is insane. It was a pleasure to get to run you in such epic fashion. I think there's more than a few things you could have done to win that race, and no doubt you'll be ready next time Broski! You should post our run from your cars POV! Can't wait for the next one.

No, Alex brought it out to test it etc. but it ran all weekend, they hot lapped it and beat on it pretty good. It was trapping in the 157 range, and I was in the 170+ range, so not a good match up with those setups. But it was impressive for a 6mt @ 7psi on the stock block, fast, and it sounded great, but on a built motor a turbo setup will beat my car in it's current configuration, major props to them for their hard work on that.

Awesome as always Drew.

So the standard sc m3's were running faster than the TT at around the same psi? No YSI car there?

I don't think you can compare turbo boost to supercharger boost and I think a big thing to remember is the 6MT in the car. The dct really shines in these events. Wish I could have been there

Thanks Brother.

Gintani's Stage 2 DCT, Tightie's car, trapped I think in the mid to high 150's as well, but I think the TT trapped higher and it's a 6MT, both at the same psi, my guess is a SC'd 6MT would trap around 147-150 at best, so that's impressive.

Their YSI car was there but had some issues, it happens, I'm sure they will come back again with it running as it did during the last event.
