Great review. But he is wrong about what the new car did cost new and fully optioned its closer to $80K than $70K. Yeah sure many people negotiated for less but if you want to talk msrp if you went to a bmw dealership and looked at the tag price. And many paid that. it's an awesome car.

So I must be one of those Track Rats who ordered an E90 w/o a Sunroof.

Funny story, BMW NA called me a week after I placed my order, they left a message stating my order was placed wrong because it didn't have a sunroof but that they would correct it and include one. I quickly called them back!!!!

Actually, in 2011 you could spec out a 6MT E90 pretty easily for ~$70k, which don't forget was a few grand cheaper than the coupe, and that's what the writer had. I think my sticker was around 72 with DCT (about a $3k option), though I didn't get extended leather or the better sound which would have made it closer to $75k.

And yes, it was a great review, and one I hadn't seen. Thanks for posting.

TL;DR but I get the jist of the article. I love the e9x M's and will always have a soft spot for them in my heart. Driving my e93 M3 always brings a smile on my face.
