Yes - we have FRM2 coding abilities for LCI upgrades.

Hi,

I come from France, I bought LCI tail light from Bmw dealership.
Bmw told me FRM3 was required. (i have e93 M3 2008 EU)
Before coding i have small flickering during few second and malfunction on the board.
Then, Bwm coded it for me and now no flickering and no error.

If you don't find Autologic, you can ask BMW to code it for you

Best regards.

This is true overseas, US programming has not been released through the BMW dealer network.

In the meantime, any independent facilities equipped with a autologic should be able to help.

2010 M3s will have a FRM3 preinstalled, earlier models will be FRM1 or FRM2.

If you have access to an programmer with an autologic, the FRM2 can be coded to accept the LCI tails and clear up the errors.

The video that was posted above doesn't show rapid blinkers without coding. Just curious since I may not have the means to code my lights where I am (don't know of any people on the East Coast).

I don't care about the flicker, I just don't want those stupid rapid blinkers that make it sound like you have a bulb out.

For e9x models that are not coded, you will get a rapid flashing blinker.

These needed to be coded in order to work properly, I can recommend some programmers on the east cost - please email me directly with your city/state.

For overseas owners - either an independent technician equipped with a autologic programmer or BMW can perform the programming.

If pre 2010 build, you will need to see an autologic - or purchase a FRM3 module.

Tom, sorry I don't mean to keep questioning but...

The video posted above first shows the taillights in action BEFORE coding, and then AFTER coding. In the BEFORE portion, the blinkers did not blink any faster than after coding. The only difference to me (according to the video) was the startup flicker.

I'm seriously considering getting the LCI lights, but the only thing stopping me is the possibility of having rapid blinkers if I did not code. I do not mind the flicker on startup, in fact, I think it's sorta neat.

Early builds tend to be a bit less finicky, there are no guarantees on what errors will be a result for those not properly coding their M3s after LCI Taillight installation.

Without coding you will get flickering.
Without coding you will get rapid blinker flashing.

I can't stress or make this any clearer. The taillamps were never intended for pre 2011 vehicles, so coding is required to correct this.
