Is Dinan software worth it?

Theres a Dinan dealer near my home town that said to me that the Dinan software wasnt like the others. He said basically in a nutshell that it puts the performance where you need it, essentially filling the gaps of inefficiency in utilizing the power you have. He said it was different because it didnt just open up the injectors and allow your redline to increase etc but a better torque curve, throttle response and makes it feel like a better sharper car. I was inquiring about possible automatic transmission flash for my e46 330ci but is the dinan engine software worth it? I bet and assume its expensive because dinan seems to be a big name in BMW stuff.

look into ess or other companies for tunes. dinan is good because it keeps your warranty intact but other than that they are fairly conservative in their tuning and cost way more than the competition.

Dinan's products are great but they are expensive and in many cases their performance gains are on the conservative side compared to the competition.

The best thing to do is research all the alternatives and see what works best for you.

Might be better off posting on E46Fanatics.

And for the record I think anything made by Dinan is a total rip-off.

definitely check out e46fanatics. all the info should be there cause i looked at both ess and dinan's sites and couldn't really figure out what the pricing difference was for. dinan is considered by alot a rip off since it's ALWAYS more expensive. in this case im sure the dinan is cheaper for a reason
