So you're saying it takes 1/2-1 CUP of this detergent for the foam cannon?! That has to be wrong. I poured in like 1/4 cup, maybe 1/3, in my MTM and it foamed up. Anything less wasn't enough.
I may be overdoing it, their video said 4oz, but I've seen some people suggest using more soap for a better foam. I'm still experimenting to see which ratio produces the thickest foam.

I have the cheapest gas powered pressure washer that craftsman sells. I tried to go the electric route, but I have the uber foam cannon and none of the wands hooked up. Biggest downside to mine is size and noise, I have to wash my car fairly early in the morning due to heat to avoid as many water spots as possible and I'm pretty sure my neighbors hate me

Looking at the water filters, the shower water filter won't work at all with a garden hose (no pressure washer) since it doesn't flow very well.

I was looking at these RV filters and they look like they'll flow better and easier to install since you don't need any adapters. Some Amazon reviews say it works well for car washing too.

I'm actually using that exact filter. While it's not perfect the water here is very very hard, so it gives me a much easier time preventing water spots

So have you noticed less water spots? Also how long is it supposed to last?

I have, but it's not totally fair either I now know far more washing methods to prevent them(thanks to this forum). It is quite noticeable, when I first moved back the only place I could wash my car was at one of those pay DIY places. I can't remember the exact amount but it's quite a long time, I've washed about 10 or so cars and accidentally left it in the back yard for a week and it's still working well.

Originally purchased for a marine reef aquarium, but I also have it piped to a storage tank to wash the car. SF water is clean, but it still leaves water spots.

TDS meter on the tap reads about 20-25ppm, whereas with this unit you get 0ppm.

Thanks I wanna try this out now. And this just connects to the water source right? Any loss in pressure with a pressure washer system?

No loss of pressure at all for me, I use a gas powered craftsman pressure washer. I hook it up right at the water spout and then my hose to it. Try it out and see, I ultimately want to get a permanent system installed, but I'm not sure how much longer I will be in the house I'm in so this works for me until then.

1500 PSi @ 1.6GPM. It comes with a one year warranty but has the same motor as the more expensive Camspray power washer. Works great with my MTM foam lance and is so quiet you cant even tell its on!

Highly recommended!!

Damn, I wish I had seen this prior to me buying my gas one

I bought adapters 1/2" to 3/4" for the shower filter and works perfect, no flow rate difference out of power washer. I was surprised. Water spots were almost non-existent, I let it air dry. This is using a 9mo old shower filter.

Just ordered this one. Not too many reviews but so far the only negatives ones are against the packaging.

It seems like the one from detailer's domain is pretty much the best one since you can replace the pump/motor unlike most. If I get more serious I'll go for that one.

Just used the filter today and worked like a charm...I think lol setup was easy and no loss of pressure. Hooked it up to my ar foam cannon and washed normally. Unfortunately it got too dark by the time I was done but I went back a few minutes to examine dry spots on the paint with an led light. I couldn't notice any water spots but I'll examine more carefully under the sun tomorrow. Price is super reasonable too I'm just curious to see how long it will last me. Great recommendation everyone get on it!

Glad it worked out for you, I know it's a must for me with all the calcium in our water.

I had weird results to be honest the following morning. Water spots were present but only in some areas. Idk what contributed to the uneven spots, but I can say that this will definitely help you in washing in any condition. I feel like if I were to wash in the sun this would help the time difference between water spots forming and me drying the car. Maybe I need to use it more to get better results. I honestly don't know if I have really hard water but I don't think it's that bad
