Best Street Legal Exhaust for E92 M3
I've got a 2008 E92 M3 right now with stock exhaust. I'm looking for an exhaust that will give the car a deeper growl, no drone, and most importantly, maintain the cats so that I can pass the smog test.
I was thinking about Remus Sport, but I'd prefer a bolt-on system, as I do not want to hack up my stock exhaust system. Any suggestions? |

Why don't you go to the Exhaust Guide Sticky?

nope...just weld the old one back on... its very rare that your potential buyer would know how to look out for an exhaust that was previously modified.

Woot woot for the Tubi...actually nevermind. Last thing I need is it getting as overplayed as the eisenmann

I have my selection narrowed down to UUC Corsa or the Gintani.
Both have the exotic sound to them

Isn't the Eisenmann Race/Sport exhaust a cut and weld installation? The Sticky Guide says it's cut and weld, but I thought I read people here say it is pure bolt-on. Which is it?

Serious crazy drone on cold start for about 20-30 seconds. Then all is quiet.
Throatier under acceleration. No drone in most cruise situations unless you need to apply a bit of throttle and then the healthy tone comes back.... I had this even with stock mufflers, just a couple db less. I don't have secondary cats and my primaries are high flow. I had a bit more tone even with stock mufflers. It really sounds great now!

How is the interior noise levels on a Remus Sport? I prefer an exhaust that is not that much louder than stock, since I like to listen to my music or talk to passengers.

I have an Eisenmann Race installed. It was VERY loud at first, but after you put some miles on it, it chills out a little. The drone depends on the throttle opening, and is pretty much gone after 2000 rpm or so. |

Man, I am so confussed on what dam exhaust to get. I'm planning on the EI x-pipe set up but don't know if I should go Remus Race or Sport. I don't care if it's loud at WOT. But at cruise/highway/ in town, I could handle something a bit more agress but not ear peircing. I love the sound of the Remus Race on the video's and on video the sport sounds like the stock muffler to me. I'm sure the video don't do it justice but what can someone compare the Remus Race or even a RISS exhaust to? Ferrari loud, Porsche, Lambo's, exotics, or what??
